Hi All!
I am looking through the newbies forum and already on my way to finding correct info for this.
I am looking through the newbies forum and already on my way to finding correct info for this.
I have two parking fines from Parking Eye for a hospital car park in Jan and Feb 2022.
I’ve ignored all the letters and now have a county court claim for £245.
Am I right I need to follow the instructions given here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xvqu3bask5m0zir/money-claim-online-How-to-Acknowledge.pdf?dl=0©_to_dropbox=true
to be able to have these parking fines cancelled?

Many thanks!

Firstly, you don't have a CCJ.
A CCJ is a County Court Judgment.
You appear to have a County Court Claim.
Please edit your thread title, replacing 'CCJ' with 'a County Court Claim'.
That will get you responses more in line with your issue.
What is the Issue Date on your County Court Claim Form?
Oh, although it feels like it, there is no 'fine' involved here.2 -
Thank you so much KeithP, I will do that right away. Thanks for your reassurance too!0

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD1 -

Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.3 -
That’s great, thanks so much. Hopefully I’ll be able to follow this info ok. Once done is that about it pending a reply closing the case from Parkingeye?
Can I please comment back here if I need more help?
Thanks so much again!0 -

Suggest you read the second post of the NEWBIES thread - link above - and the template Defence thread before asking any more questions.2 -
I doubt you will get anything from ParkingEye closing the case, they have issued a court claim and, having paid a fee, will want it to go to court and get their pound of flesh! If you do what @KeithP suggests and write paragraphs 2 & 3 from the template defence using your own circumstances (and post ONLY those paragraphs here), then some regulars will be pleased to critique it for you. Once critiqued you add those paragraphs back into the template and submit by e-mail following the instructions given.2

Ok thanks. So a bit more of a challenge but doable?0

However, because this is ParkingEye, you won't be using the Template Defence but instead will be guided by the examples in the second post of the NEWBIES thread following the heading...
What about ParkingEye defences?
