Oh my, I'm stuffed. Courgette and cheese quiche, wedges, coleslaw and salad should not be that filling! Will not be needing anything else to eat today.
GI - I'm sending some puff to reflate you. You've been very industrious - perhaps you could take a before and after photo next time, so that you have evidence of the difference you have made? And you have a spreadsheet now. So you have joined Jazee in my spreadsheet envy cabinet. Don't beat yourself up. Every step forward is a step in the right direction. Come on flybuddy, you can do this 💪 👏 😘
On my. I am so full.

GI It often looks as though very little has changed if you're flinging stuff that was hidden so that is deflatory for everyone. However, the next time you want to put something away you will find s p a c e and you won't have to wrestle the wretched stuff into a space that's far too small. Gradually you'll find putting things away becomes so easy you don't mind doing it. That makes life so much easier.
Better is good enough.9 -
Hi all
You have been a busy lot today. GI you wont see the progress at first but keep plodding away and it will come.
ASB my youngest was an early riser too, even when he had to leave the house for Sixth Form college at 6.45am it never bothered him. Even when he had a late night for some reason he would still be wide awake early.
Good day here, cycled into work and didnt have a bad day at the paid stuff. Had a long chat with a senior manager about a few things, which made me feel a tiny bit better.
Chicken casserole for tea, changed our bed but that's about it for flying today.10 -
Thank you Round, HB & YL 😊 I know you are right. The problem is I am sorting stuff which is put away. I know it is better, but it doesn't show! At the moment I still have stuff all over the DR table, but I cba to do anymore today.
I spent an hour or so at the allotment. Picked lots of tomatoes & pulled up some spuds. Oh, and I have 1 corn on the cob! I think I may have that for my lunch tomorrow 😁 Not much else has grown - I possibly have a record breaking squash.....as the smallest ever!! It is orange and about the size of an average tomato!!
Towels/tea towels/dish cloths have been on a hot wash, shower cleaned after I used it along with the toilet & basin. That is enough for today.8 -
Morning all.
GI, keep going - decluttering does get easier as you begin to see some space, though the biggest difference comes with the second sweep x
I woke up at 4.15 today - better than 3 .00- and have spent an hour and a half drinking tea, catching up with the news and watching silly videos on you-know-what-tube, but now we have daylight, so I might as well crack on. I made good progress yesterday with getting the stuff ready to declutter pass on gratefully to my colleague, but he had to delay the handover for 24 hours, so I might have time this morning to do a bit more off the list of unfinished business. The ancestors are looking very comfortable atm, stacked up in their bunk beds and not being a bother at all: last night I was able to ignore them completely and concentrate on reducing another (much smaller) pile of paper. Right now I am feeling quite organised - long may it continue!
DH is worrying me with what looks like another lingering chest infection. He's supposed to be going to his post-op check this afternoon, but he might have to take a trip to the GP first. My alarm is set to remind him to ring the surgery at 8.00 sharp when the phonelines open.
Today's flying *might* include
- WM x ???
- S&S bathroom and kitchen
- damp-dust and hoover through upstairs (as I got into bed last night I noticed the thick layer of dust on the headboard)
- damp-dust, hoover and mop through downstairs
- make lasagne for tomorrow
Hope everyone has a good day. Enjoy your sticky hoover, pigpen
