Hi all
Glad to hear you sounding so positive Dizzy, and very glad to know that hubby isnt under the patio x
Funny day here. I am at the beginning of some big changes at the paid stuff which is a leap into the unknown and I would rather just keep things as they are, which isnt possible, so I need to try and see the positives.
Managed to do yoga and get tea in the slow cooker before the paid stuff and hoover and wash the car after the paid stuff which I was pleased with. Oh and I made an idiot of myself by turning up at the hairdressers for my appointment two days early!!10 -
ASB that is why i do mine pack up.. their school dinners are tiny and weird stuff like curry and chilli and i know very few children who eat anything like that.. they do offer sandwiches but £2.50 for one sandwich, 1 piece of fruit and a yoghurt is extortion

Vets visited - AB injection & probiotic medicine given. Hopefully that will sort her out.
More washing done - I will be able take most of the childrens clothes to the CS. I will keep 2 pairs of joggers, some socks and the wellies. I need to buy more puddlesuits when they are in Mr L's.
Bed remade thanks to DH
Dinner cooked.
I am now catching up on some TV next to a sleeping kitty. As the laptop is open I may do some admin....
Round it sounds like you are taking it easy, which is totally acceptable during your annual leave
Dizzy lovely to hear from you x
ASB I hope you enjoyed the cinema

moomin collected.. had words about her choice of male.. no likey and I've not even met him. When he has been messaged to get in contact with Moomin he has been arrogant and rude and I do not like it.. she is a person not a possession.Mirror scavenged and dropped round at my mothers.gonks in bedDW loaded.Washing brought in as the sky is leakingI rang dr's ... they told me to ring back on Thursday or 'try to get an appointment' .. naaahhh... that took 5 weeks last time, my time is worth more than that. I am in so much pain I dreamed I had an accident and broke my bones last night.. when I woke up I was still sure they were broken I'm in so much pain.
Everyone fed.
has anyone got a cordless vacuum cleaner? I was thinking, since I really struggle lugging Henry about, if it oul dbe any easier to just swing around the kitchen to pick up cat litter crumbs and the odd bit of cereal? What they are like on stairs? I hate dirty stairs. OH's mother always liked her but SIL kept breaking them.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Piggers I have a cordless vax one. Way better for stairs. And I can charge the battery overnight on cheap rate (charger unit is in my bedroom so I can switch it on when I wake in the night) . I like it a lot.
bed stripped and remade because DD will be home Thursday with holiday washing and I can get this out of the way beforehand.

Morning ladies
Up early and cracking on this morning; I am acutely aware I have loads to do before DS return tomorrow. He, like me, is an early bird which means I never have a chance in the morning before the children awake to just get on. He is also a light sleeper from around 5am, so getting up earlier with an alarm wouldn’t work as he would hear me. I work best in a morning, so making the most of the peace (he also chatters non stop from the moment he wakes until the moment he crashes into bed, DD absolute opposite and would sleep until 9 given the chance), so I’m getting on.
So far I’ve fed all the animals and hoisted several 25kg feed bags into the right feed bins. I’ve also submitted my meter readings online.
In no particular order I MUST:
- check online banking
- dog to groomer
- clean both chicken houses out - takes approx 2 hours to do correctly as they’re huge
- lug bin in once emptied
- meet friend for cuppa
- meet FB buyer with item I’ve sold later
- chat to a fly lady 💜
- meal plan and shopping list for September
- an hour of online admin
That’ll do for now. Have fab days all xx

Morning all.
Piggers, we have a cordless shark which I can't fault. Great everywhere including stairs, lightweight, charges quickly, can do whole house twice before it needs charging, can be used full length or a a hand held for car etc, lots of different attachments and settings.
Today I need to make a cake for a charity event tomorrow. Other than that I will be doing admin and keeping MIL entertained.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Good morning all xx
GI - thank you. I do need to recover from work and prepare for the next onslaught, but I also want to live in a home where I don't cringe when someone wants to visit. The house is much better than it was but there's still a loooong way to go. Just that one Round yesterday means I came down to a clear sink this morning. It looks better, and it makes me feel better.
I've read 2 and a bit books since Friday. piggers - there are 10 left to read 📚 😍.
I'm up, made my bed, and had a brew.

IT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme9 -
Rosie woke me at 3.30 today, Grrrrr! I trust I was the only one in the WAC at that unearthly hour. Didn't touch the snacks, though I did make myself a cuppa.
I couldn't get back to sleep so have cracked on with sorting and labelling the Treasurer's files which I shall be handing over to the Churchwarden decluttering from my study this afternoon(I'm hoping not to have to take them back again after my 6-month break.) I need to do some online banking business this morning, and I might even get the reports for July/August written by lunchtime.
My study is looking better already - I've even disturbed the ancestors who had been sprawled all over the spare bed for more weeks than I can remember. For the time being they are back to languishing in piles on the shelves - which is not ideal, but I need them out of the way for now so that I can dust and hoover before the Churchwarden comes, and then have room to sort and finalise the other admin stuff that I have been working on for the past fortnight. The end is almost in sight! After that, I can get back to genealogy in what will be my own time.
Hope August ends better than it started for everyone, even if only because the weather has cooled down a bit. We could still do with more than a light drizzle here, but the rain symbol appears every day from Friday 2nd to Monday 12th September on the BBC weather forecast for our area, and we are warned to expect thunderstorms next Monday and Tuesday, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
