Today I have
- showered and dressed
- S&S'd the bathroom
- filled and run the DW
- rejigged the freezer contents to make room for some frozen meals (delivered)
- cooked lunch and tea
- walked Rosie
- worked at my computer for hours on end
- slept for 2 hours this afternoon, trying to fight off a migraine - yes, I know it's caused by stress
- deleted one thing from my diary for tomorrow
- sent an important email
and now I'm shattered!
Sleep well xx9 -
Evening
quick check in from me before I head to bed; everything on list done except the sewing, quite pleased with that as my bit of paid stuff turned into about 5 hours through the course of the day, a little annoying but there you go.
hope you have had a good day, back tomorrow x9 -
Honey_Bear said:Wow Kaz. I'm so impressed by your determination, persistence and achievements - the walking and the weightloss. Kudos.
well…the best laid plans gang aft a gley.
they definitely gang aft today…
meh
DW x1 was done when I got up. Still not emptied. Got the washing on the line though…and that was IT
The aged ps did really well on the tombola though…words were had about the inappropriateness of winning the top prize (bottle of Bells whisky) when the manager is running the tombola and you’re her dad. And your granddaughter labelled the prizes!
it wasn’t fixed, honest. I won some wall plaques with sayings about Mr&Mrs and given I’m a divorcee I put them back in lol. I expect my Secret Santa flylady recipient will be rather grateful too lol as they would have to have been a regift!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear8 -
Good evening
Not asmuch done here as I would have hoped, but I did some. As HB would say - better is good!
We started the day by having a family breakfast out at a large chain pub 😊
I put on the DW (DS emptied it), vac'd the stairs, landing, LR & BR, swept the DR, cleaned downstairs toilet & basin and did a food shop with DH. I also emptied 4 boxes from the kallax unit, cleaned the contents & put some away. A lot is still on the DR table. DD2 was given some fabric pens & some emotions bouncy balls to use at work (sen school) so at least something has left the house! Oh, I also cleaned the dys0n filter 😁
Tomorrow will be more sorting/cleaning of toys. I may also need to visit the vets with the little cat as she is squitty. I have cleaned up a few poops from various places. She probably just needs some probiotics but I had best get her checked. She is still full of beans!
Sleep well all x

Dot is still really struggling.. she declined a trip to the park today because she can't cope with people yet.. I am angry. They will all have moved on while my lovely Dot is dealing with the emotional fallout days later. I feel a 'sit down' session with them.. or maybe a group FB message. where I can word it carefully and not rage and growl.
HB .. so pleased all went well with the op.. I hope your recovery is swift.
Kaz . have you seen Cats Protection is doing a '9 miles in September' to raise quids for the charity.
I got a few bits thrown on V!nted.

Morning ladies
Slept until 7.30 which is unheard of for me. The animals were not happy at having to wait 😉😉. Anyhoo, they are all fed now, DD is watching TV and I am
enjoying a cuppa. The first load of washing is on.
The midges here are terrible at the moment, I have bites all over. The dog is itching too, I did wonder if she had fleas as I have bites on my ankles but I can’t see any. Nonetheless I will be hot washing her bedding today, as she is headed to the groomer tomorrow and I like her to have lovely clean bedding.Take care all xx10 -
Morning all,
Thank you, belatedly, for the lists. I’ll be fluttering around the edges. I need to Pull Myself Together and get out of this lethargy. I’m on holiday from work after Thursday night for 10 days, so hoping that the break will give me the chance to reset and restart. I’m usually good with a September “new year”, so hoping it doesn’t fail me this year.
Apart from potato digging -and I’m not sure that counts, as I’ve never seen it on a list 😉 - I have done no flying, despite being at home for 3 days. DD goes back to uni on Thursday, which has been my excuse. I want to spend as much time with her as she wants, I’ll miss her going off again. But this morning I have stripped our bed, set the wm going, and remembered that I have a heaving bag of plums that need me to turn them into something before it’s too late. Haircut later, then I need to whizz back home and pick up DD for a trip to nearby small town.
Have a lovely day all. Waggy finger to Iona for listing so many jobs when she should be resting and cutting down the stress levels. GWS wishes to HB. Hugs for Dot.

Thank you for all of your kind thoughts. I'm doing okay, balancing pain relief with the knowledge that taking more than the maximum is a very bad idea but needs must in the middle of the night when things are grim. I've asked the GP for something stronger for the breakthrough pain. I know there are newspapers that loathe the fact that we can't see our GPs face to face easily any more but I find our practice (3 GPs now instead of the 7 there used to be) incredibly supportive online. I prefer having this option.Flying will be minimal but I suppose I should sort out the muddle on my bedside table once again. I must ask Belovéd for a duster. I never see dust normally but my world is rather tiny now and it's sort of obvious where a bit of flying would be beneficial. It's not like I don't have the time.I love talking books. Thank goodness the library has a massive supply of them to download on to my phone.More (((hugs))) for Dot. She deserves better from her extended family.A worryingly long list Ionafan, but you already know that. I hope at the very least nothing is being added.Better is good enough.9
