I love the cordless thingy Piggers. Taking it off the wall and doing one bit, stairs, or the entrance to the house or whatever needs it, and then bunging it back on charge means that this place looks a lot better than when I had to get the heavy thing out, drag it about, vacuum, and then put it away was all just too much sometimes. And it is particularly brilliant for stairs.Friend coming round for coffee and cake this morning, which will be lovely. Other than that, more rest and healing.Better is good enough.9

Correction it is now tipping it down..............any one want to cuddle a soggy catRound, I strongly believe at the moment, that everyone should be checking their elecy and gas meters once a month and noting down the readings, putting them online to relevant supplier and ONLY pay for the amount used, not all these estiamted bills, or way over direct debits. If folk want to build up a 'buffer' for the winter months, then move the money into a savings account of some sort, the big companies already have loads of money, so why should their gain interest off my money as well.Gets off soap box and puts it away.Walking on hold until rain stops, besides someone didn't charge her phone up .Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Update:
- check online banking
- dog to groomer
- clean both chicken houses out - takes approx 2 hours to do correctly as they’re huge
- lug bin in once emptied
- meet friend for cuppa
- meet FB buyer with item I’ve sold later
- chat to a fly lady 💜
- meal plan and shopping list for September
- an hour of online admin
Pleased with this so far. @K@kazwookie I read my meters weekly and note the figures in my diary. I always pay on receipt of bill, refuse to do direct debits with these crooks.
Cuppa now, and a couple of biccies, then I will carry on xx10 -
I pay gas and electricity to separate companies - gas quarterly on receipt of bill, leccy monthly on receipt of bill. And check my meters to make sure I'm not way in front on way behind when they estimate.
I saw a thing to calculate what my bills will be like come October. Was prepared to oh golly, then remembered we'll all get the energy rebate type thingy this winter.
I can put more clothes on, but I've been Googling how to keep Sweetie warm. I'd rather be in debt than freeze my little mate! And it may come to that.
I'm hungry - hope the posh farm shop has a decent quiche alternative. I don't eat meat so quiche Lorraine is out - and the other choice varies. Roasted Med veg with ricotta, spinach and goats cheese, no problem. But no thank you to anything with Stilton or Brie in it. We will see.

Hello all, glad you're back with us @Dizzy_Imp.
The two little ones are still with us. Baby should have been out of hospital yesterday, hoping he'll be out today, but not heard anything yet. Very little flying done again. Difficult when you're being "helped". Great plans for next week, this house will gleam! DW done twice, saying done and put out to dry. Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.10 -
Good afternoon 😁
I am slowly plugging away at the toy boxes. I counted the cubbies in the kallax units (why haven't I done that before?!) 60 - yes sixty!! 14 of those are for adult use - the rest are filled with toys, books, craft materials, resources, etc. And still there isn't space for everything! It is no wonder I get overwhelmed sometimes 🤔😭 It isn't helped that I am a world champion procrastinator! However, I have made a spreadsheet.....🤦♀️🤣 Send help!! 🤣🤣
Next move - drink tea, then head to CS with what I have managed to let go of, plus 3 cushions belonging to mil that DH is willing to let go.
I have also put on the DW & cleaned the patio doors.
I am feeling a bit deflated as I don't have much to show for my efforts 😓8
