New Posts Indication

Maybe it's just me but I've noticed in the last couple of days that I'll visit a thread to read the posts. I'll post a reply and then click the link to return to the thread listings for that board - whereupon I notice an indication that the thread has 1 new reply ... the post I've just made! (This never used to happen - it's recent - and this isn't restricted to a specific board - I've noticed this on Motoring and Techie Stuff).
Anyone else noticed this?

I've just replied to the "I don't like the design" thread in this board and it gave me the same issue ... and I'm sure this reply here will do likewise.
Edit: yes it did.Jenni x1 -
I've noticed that too, Jenni.2

ETA - It has just done it with this reply, I hit back and it is showing 1 new post and it will not update until I click in it and read it!2 -
I think that if you post a reply, then hit refresh (F5), then follow the link back to the thread listings (not hitting the browser back button) then the issue doesn't arise. (I'll test with this reply).
Yep - that "works" insofar as the thread listing no longer shows there being a new reply. Shouldn't have to need to do this though.Jenni x1 -

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I have also tested it and it does what you wrote in the tin but why should we have to compromise when it used to work? It also updates the number of new posts, I shall try to remember to use it in future but by tomorrow morning my auto instinct will kick in and I will use the back button! Of course the problem now is that, because I didn't use the back button, when I do click and hold it down, I see the history for my whole session's activity!1

It seems to have fixed the issue as reported by @Jenni_D here 23 August at 8:45 but not the one I have reported several times by e-mail to the Forum Team. When will someone take me seriously and believe that it is happening. Am I the only one? I am using up-to-date equipment, Windows 10, Chrome latest version. The issue is similar to the one reported but the new post count does not revert to zero after having read a thread and returning to the thread list.
