Hello, we are home again. I am shattered after all the driving, but it was worth it to see lovely friends and DH's relatives. Rosie (who has been golden) checked out our garden, lay in the un for a few minutes, and now has gone fast asleep under DH's chair.
Great executive decision on your part, YL x
In flying news, I have lifted a huge cobweb off the skirting board in the bathroom. I'm sure it wasn't there on Tuesday!9 -
Heard from little ones grandma. The baby, who was going to be home the start of this week but then picked up another cold bug in hospital, should be home next Tuesday. If this goes to plan, then grandma and grandad will come for these two on Saturday 3rd. They both work full time, and have to arrange for someone to look after great grandma too. Fingers crossed. I will miss having them around, but it will be nice when going to the toilet is no longer a spectator sport!!
Flying, DW twice, two out of three toilets cleaned! Lasagne made for tea, helped by two year old. Anyone know of a use for lasagne sheets that have been broken into a thousand pieces? Haha.

Hi everyone
I've been on this thread before. Posted a few times..some weeks more than others over the years. But I need to get my life sorted 😩 and my home. I've had about 2.5 years of my mental health not being stable (depressive episodes lasting a long time with a couple of good months in the last 2.5 years).
I've spent this summer holiday battling a flare up with my physical health which causes severe fatigue and severe pain 😬 and now I'm racked with mum guilt that we haven't done anywhere near as much as I planned to while the kids were off school.
Kids are staying at my grandmas this weekend and I've decided that this weekend I'll be using to make a start in sorting my life out.
I haven't even sorted school uniform for the kids and they go back a week on Monday. Normally I have all this sorted the first week of the holidays. What has happened 😳
Currently waiting for laundry to dry to finish packing the kids bags. We should of left 15 minutes ago. Like I said absolute chaos
So I'm pledging to myself to post here and or on my mortgage free diary daily and to continue to journal each night. Because it always helps when I get my feelings down on paper. Journalling for me is being able to tell someone with no judgement and it won't tell others and talk about me. That's how it feels anyway and it helps so I need to start this again
Anyway going to take the kids and then come back and make a start
Thanks for reading if you got this far . Much love xJune 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/204612 -
Hi Mumof3 let the guilt go my love, when my kids were little I worked in the school holidays and used to pass mine around from kids club, to my mum, to activity days in the leisure centre, and back round again. I used to feel sooo guilty, but now they are all grown up they only have happy memories of school holidays and I realise that all that guilt was pointless. Oh and I journal too, it's so important to me.
So, 25 mile cycle ride done, three loads of washing out, fallen apples picked and sorted into compost bin or keeping for crumbles, fridge scrubbed out and food shopping delivery put away. I have washed two work jackets that I wear a lot in winter and was worried that they were starting to look a bit shabby but now that they are nearly dry they look better. I will run the defuzzer over them, they are £90 each to buy new so they are not going to be replaced any time soon.
So glad I took the day off. Veggie curry for tea, might have to have mine soon rather than wait for DH.11 -
Valli said:I dreamt about flying. I dreamed my shower curtain was a bit scummy and slimy so I popped it in the WM.
I do not have a shower curtain so that was a COMPLETE waste of nocturnal flying time.Love this!I spent yesterday in a day case unit gowned up ready for surgery, only to have it cancelled about 4.30 pm. The specialist foot surgeon was most apologetic and told me he'd try to get me on his extra list this Sunday. I've just been told I'm the first on the list for Sunday morning. Yay! He told me what to expect post-surgery too and it all sounds a bit grim. Beloved is going to be doing all the dog-walking for some months.Belovéd provided me with the cordless vacuum thingy this afternoon so I could do the bedroom. That was grim, too. It's now deflated and full, iyswim, but the crapet (!) looks a lot better. Apposite typo so I left it.
Better is good enough.9 -
That's me finished at the paid stuff for 10 days. And breathe....
Been a full on week. Including a failed attempt to rescue a squab. Long story short: it died. 😢
Had a hairdresser's appointment on my way home from work. Then came in and flumped. They bought me cake at work so I've had cake for tea. Not just cake. Obviously. I had some Pringles too 😋 🤣
Watching athletics on telly. Think it'll be an early night. I'm shattered.
Love to all. And mahoosive hugs

Ionafan I believe every word.....you see some messy person had left these piles of crumbs on plates, we were only cleaning them...oh was it a slice of cake? Good gracious. And I still say my face needs ironing- must be a trick of the light!
Body Pump and Body Balance this morning, report writing this afternoon, booked a free course on changes to exam adjustments. Minor tidying done.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9
