Yes GI I think we should buddy up this week too. To fly though. Not to murder people. Gulp. Xx
I'm dressed. I've put out the recycling, fed the birds, and I'm savouring a coffee ☕ . Join me?

Hi lovely ladies
Sorry I’ve been quiet - making the most of the lovely weather we have had here to do outdoor jobs. I have dealt with a trillion nettles, been stung more times that I care to remember, and dug out a trailer load full of old rubble. My reward was uncovering a huge blackberry bush on our field that I didn’t even know we had because it was so well hidden. And lots are already ripe 🤩
Onto today, I am volunteering this afternoon. I’m very nervous but DD will be with me and DS has gone to his grandmas for a few days. Dinner is lasagne that I have already prepped.
Piggers - I read your post whilst I was in the WAC. I personally would LOVE to meet Dot and hang out on her terms for the day. Some people seem to have lost their thought filters I feel. My friends
son has a T shirt that says ‘Auty not Naughty’ which I love xx
Right I need to have a strip wash and get myself dressed. Big love to all xx9 -
MorningPiggers, I hope Dot is feeling better, you know you could become a best selling author:- 'A year in the life of Pigpen and family' some of the tales and stories that you and family encounter daily, really do begger belief. Hugs to you all. xCar boot walked around, then did walking, then came home got car, went cat food shopping and food for us, I refuse to carry heavy stuff 3 miles, so car it is, all put away, apart from milk / fruit, I don't think we will need a lot for a couple of weeks. OH is going away for 3 weeks, so I really won't want much, and I WILL get the last 8 lbs off while he is away.Round, meatloaf it is, while OH is away I think I am going to dance around the house a lot, use different muscles compared to just walking
have to work out how to set up the music...........................

Hello all, laughing and pondering life along with you all. Great bunch.
Loads done here this morning, MIL arriving in about an hour, enough said. She's really nice but also very clean, tidy and elegant. I'm wearing a dress.
Going to sit in the garden now for a little while.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Kaz.. I did consider a blog once.. but it looked like time consuming hard work and all my time was already consumed and I'm a bit lazy..
YL .. Dot loves hugs.. on her terms..
Iona.. We all seem to dance to different music in here and we are all terrible dancers!
Dot is not a happy chicken today.. and she did not have a good time yesterday..
Someone did at least load the DW yesterday.. that was a bonus.
WM's both on
DW onRecycling outChicken in the oven for dinner.. it was in the defrosted freezer so needed cooking today.. it was YS so looked a bit sad once defrosted.. no freezer burn though so will no doubt taste fine.
I have a gammon to cook too from the freezer and want to fling a fish pie in at some point this week.. I need to invest in a new pressure cooker so we can have mash more often.. it takes way too long to cook potatoes enough for mash for us lot. Atually if I double up on mash it will do the fish pie and a cottage pie for the freezer too.. thats an idea..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Round no.....not yet 😂
WM on a clean cycle as I found a bottle of WM cleaner. I have emptied a trolley and 2 cubbies in my large kallax unit. I have a few toys for the CS so far, and started filling one of the boxes again, cleaning as I go. One small corner of the DR floor cleaned. I have also dismantled 2 very large cardboard boxes that the children have been playing with over the last few weeks. Some is in the recycling & the larger parts will end up at the allotment.
Shed progress: it has 4 walls! DS has just been in to tell me next step is the doors, while stroking my face & telling me skin is soft!! Seriously?! 🤦♀️🤣
Next step: put shoes on and move the car from around the corner to outside the house (nowhere to park last night)
Then - carry on sorting. I need to find a bag or box to put CS stuff in.8 -
Been super busy, flying like a demon…
Oh Ok, maybe not, not even a teensy bit, as I have told myself that I have an extra Weekend Day, so that makes it all alright…DD has been riding, I took her, as I have escaped the responsibility lately. Good excuse to sit in the car and read my book for an hour or so. Did meet some sheep in the road, which made the journey there a bit eventful. The joys of country living.Otherwise, I have been perfecting my Work Avoidance scheme for the day. I feel that I might need to do a bit more practice in this area, as I did make a stab at cooking some of the veg excess from the fridge:
French beans became a bean salad,
half a cabbage has mutated to coleslaw to go with this evening’s veggie burgers and wedges,
plums which were not maggot infested eek have been cooked up with some cinnamon, enabling me to pretend that it is autumn,
apricots are destined for a clafoutis,
tomatoes and basil have become a sauce and made the kitchen redolent (?) of my in-laws’ Italian kitchen.
I am considering whether to excel and make a courgette cake and a quiche later when the oven is on.
Oh my, I feel a sit down and a book read coming on.
Smiling at the thoughts of Jazee wafting around in a dress to please MiL, Round and GI becoming partners in crime (please, not literally), and at all of us dancing to different tunes on here, but still being able to hear each other’s music. I love you all 😘10 -
Tesc0 purchased.. crisps on offer.. so I bought 3 packs.. multi-packs.. and ate 3.. I've not eaten all day and my blood sugar is low and making me feel weird.. I have the chicken in for later.. I will fling parsnips and veg and potatoes in shortly.. after my cuppa.. refilled the defrosted frost-free freezer.. and restocked the girls ice lolly supply and bought all 6 27p loaves.
I am going to finish this cuppa.... get the veg in.. hang out washing and I have a few bits to put on Vinted.. penniiieeeessss
Grabbed an apple and a turkish delight to go with my crisps and tea.
