Ebay withholding future payments

    I believe with that service the parcel is scanned upon delivery,  so getting that message indicates that it hasn't been delivered yet.

    I think the numbers are slightly different format if purchased via RM . However, when adding numbers direct from RM postage online remove all dashes and spaces and make it one continuous number.

    I did not buy via Ebay's postage, I went direct to RM and I can tell you I am entering both codes/numbers 100% correct. The Certificate of posting's bar code number (no other number) and the RM WP-1345-7797-*** number and both bring no joy.
  • If you have a certificate of posting and proof of them item’s value, can you not claim from Royal Mail up to £20 for regular postings?

    I do use RM online for some of my parcels that aren't bought on ebay and I've just checked- go into your purchased labels click view label and it shows your delivery confirmation number, mine is 11-085 8BC 0XX (last 2 numbers changed) when I input that number it shows as 'An update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item' which means it has not been delivered.

    That one was posted Monday so we are already nearly a week after posting without it being delivered.

    Does your Post office scan your parcels to issue a receipt, as if so the number will be on there. If you use a pre papered POP (which I use if I drop off at the mail centre) then that doesn’t record the number you need but I do try and remember in those cases to keep a copy of the label as a download.

    if you regularly use RM to buy labels for eBay then get into the habit of adding your delivery confirmation number to the sale as soon as you print the label, that will save all this hassle in future. Or just buy via eBay as the number is added automatically.
