I know they support Apple Pay as they keep trying to give me £5 to make my first payment with it, but it doesn't work on Android devicesBand7 said:
This cannot be the reason, as Barclaycard has been working perfectly with ApplePay for years. I can also use any number of other cards on my phone / in ApplePay alongside my Barclaycard.Astria said:Barclays say there's no need to support Google Pay as their app manages the contactless part directly, which means you can't use any other cards with your phone and also means you get declined if you've spent too much through it and have to get your physical card out.
Barclaycard do support GooglePay in the US. So it must be something peculiarly British if it doesn't work in the UK.

Maybe ApplePay was the only option.
Or Apple made it worth their while, and Google didn't.0 -
Just to add I use Samsung pay and the only way to get Barclays to work is via Samsung Pay+ aka Curve.0

For iPhones, Barclays were out of luck.k_man said:

Apple lock down their phones and don't let third parties use their contactless facility period.
Barclays had tried to force Android owners to use their own app (unreliable) only.
Apparently, they've now relented as they're currently testing GooglePay in the UK too.1 -

It's like they never received the memo stating that devices are exempt from the EU requirement that PINs be required for contactless transactions. Mind you, I did receive an apology from First Direct for the exact same thing - after an email from them stating "Leave your wallet at home and use your mobile phone to pay for your purchases", then they declined my transactions because I was over the "limit", but wouldn't tell me what the limit was, so I told them to deactivate it as it was pointless. If I can't depend on something working then I prefer not to use it (apart from things like card readers not working, etc)0 -
I think this discussion has strayed unhelpfully away from the Chase 1% Cashback topic of the thread title. Forum Rules, Rule 2.Arch4

Just wondering what site did you check and/or when.SuzeQStan said:@Marchitiello - Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, North & South Carolina.
we were going off of chase’s own list of ATMs- problem being that many of those listed no longer existed - well all except the one that we found in Richmond Indiana. For example there were 2 x chase ATMs listed in Lenoir City tenn - but when we got there they weren’t there any longer.Stopped looking after about a week as it wasn’t worth the time we were wasting looking for them.I have just checked ATMs in Tennessee on Chase US website and the following cities appear (no Lenoir city).
as per my previous post and expected, Nashville as main city, have 12 ATMs

I doubt First Direct could be definitive as either the retailer and their card processor could place limits on phone based transactions.Astria said:Deleted_User said:

They may even treat them as standard contactless transactions with a £100 limit.0 -
I would take the OP at face value and surmise that Chase are slow in removing former locations from their website.Marchitiello said:
