thanks to everyone who replied. I will have a look in Sainsburys and Woolies. We don't have a local Asda, the one we use is near to where OH works and that might spoil the surprise if I ask him to get them for me
would anyone use ice cube trays from a charity shop if they looked OK and had been well sterilised after purchase?saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

by the looks of the display I wasn't the only one looking.
Couldn't find them in Asda either  will try one of the bigger shops.
Just noticed my teddy bear ice cube tray that I got in Ikea years ago, this will keep DH happy biting of heads and leaving me the bodies (I'm teddy daft)

If they had them they should have been next to all of the valentine gifts.
If you don't have one I could try and get one and post it to you if you like?Dream of being mortgage free....

For all of you who are making these slabs here's a quick recipe for rocky road slab - sounds yummy!!
2 bars of fruit & nut chocolate
4 bars chocolate coated turkish delight
200g marshamallows
Melt chocolate in microwave on low power; keep checking every 30 seconds.
Put Turkish delight & marshmallow into a large bowl, then pour the melted chocolate over and mix carefully.
Pour or spoon mixture on to a baking paper lined tray and chill for one hour before cutting into pieces.0 -
mine came out brill, i put lil marshmellows in them and theyre lovely,
only problem is, it happens whenever i melt chocolate and re-cool, afterwards when you touch them they melt really quickly you it gets a bit messy, any way to stop that?Yes Your Dukeiness0 -
