thanks jem. i thought that if i shoved a load of stuff on the top then it would disguise any blooming and rough edges etc and they wouldn't have to be perfect
  • Has anyone tried using moulds for fudge? I make lovely fudge but it always looks so messy lol, didnt know if it would work being so much hotter than choccy.
Happy with any wins this year :A
  • I decided to give this a go, and I must say I had great fun doing it! Now every member of my family is getting a chocolate slab for xmas from my little boy!

  • wow they look fantastic.
When i first saw this topic i wanted to make them for presents but then i read all about how the chocolate would melt really quikcly unless tempered(which sounded really complicated). How has everyone else made there chocolate not melt when it is taken out of the fridge?
  • I really like the mixture of the two different chocolate types.

Sorry if I am being dim but how do you make the swirls etc without it all becoming a big mess?!

Just pour the two chocs into the mould then swirl it round with a tooth pick or something like that.

Have any of you seen this site before? http://www.pimpthatsnack.com/projects.php
It shows you what ingredients you need for each "snack" and has instructions how to make it.
This is my personal favourite... http://www.pimpthatsnack.com/project.php?projectID=16&pageID=1 purely for the effort gone into it to make it exactly like the original......just much bigger!!

I stumbled across it ages ago and forgot about it then remembered it this morning when I had a dream last night that I had made a huge minty walnut whip :rotfl: :rotfl:

I thought you ladies might like it as you are all so creative.....I wouldn't have the patience, I just like looking at other peoples talent :D
