soolin said:Remember it is cheaper to buy postage online for parcels than use stamps at the PO. A standard 2nd class small parcel with delivery confirmation is £2.85 online but £3.35 at the PO. Just 10 of them a week would be costing you £5 plus fees out of your takings.0

I signed up for Vinted a couple of days ago, have virtually nothing listed and I sold my first item today. I’ve printed off my label and will post it tomorrow then I’ll have to work out how to add my bank details to get paid when is due.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Snap. It seems like a good platform. Plenty of people adding items to their favourites. Hopefully it will be a good alternative to ebay to get rid of some of my old clothing.

Vinted has a shocking reputation but I will see how it goes. I have already posted the item via Evri using the label they supplied- so fingers crossed!

I need to sort out my wardrobe too, so I might have a go on Vinted. I'm determined to get rid of a lot of the stuff hanging around my house and filling the cupboards and drawers, as well as making some extra money (go towards the energy bills!)0

OP, I've just sold some books on line with ziffit, It was quite easy to do and probably even easier if you download their app and scan the barcodes.
I sold 6 books for just over £8 with free p+p. I dropped the parcel off using the inpost lockers outside my local Tesco when I next went shopping.
My parcel has not been processed yet so can't say if any have been rejected.
Might be worth a look....

Friend switched to vinted from e-bay a while ago and wouldn't go back for anything that can be sold on vinted - it's simpler to list, things seem to sell faster and no postage or commission to pay (obviously the buyer takes the postage costs and insurance they have to pay into account when deciding to buy or not) - Didn't have any issues with e-bay but they much prefer Vinted (selling mainly clothing under £20)1 -

Just to update, I’ve now sold 3 things on vinted as I discovered you can sell jewellery and lots of other things, not just clothes. Prices are pretty poor and there are a number of people making really low offers which I’m not accepting- although I do always counter offer .I’ve stuck with the ‘free’ Evri postage so I’ll see how that goes .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. soolin said:I’m not sure I would be comfortable about purring anything expensive on Vinted , I prefer being in control of my own sales. I sent my item off but I wonder what happens if it gets lost , I didn’t buy the postage nor arrange the label so it seems unlikely I can claim for loss. When I sell on eBay I have complete control over my postage, I have receipts, I know I have the correct postage and I know I can claim if something is lost.I have bought from seller's who had selected an option for "Custom postage". However, I don't know how they enabled that option. When I listed my own items the options were preset. Perhaps a look at the Vinted community section will give you the answers if you want to select your own postage type and sent it in the way you prefer.I wonder if only those who have sold a few items can change the postage options but I don't know if that's the case. I don't seem to be able to add that option when I try to edit my listing.
