I feel a bit like Round. I have done my hours for the week so the rest of the day is mine. I dont want to spend the afternoon doing housework, in fact I dont really want to stay in the house, but its been a tough week and I feel like I need to relax. Oh and I cant help much with the future planning but I see a nice notebook and a new pen involved somewhere x
Thanks for the words about DS Pigpen. I think he is currently ignoring my messages so I am no further forward. It's a fine balance between respecting the fact that its his body and his choice, and nudging him in what I know is the right direction.
One load of washing done and hung out. I will fly a bit tomorrow morning while DH is at work. I think I might stick my walking boots on and go for a ramble. Despite the fact that we live in a lovely rural village there are not many footpaths from here but there is no need to take the car out and waste diesel.

YL .. ostrich syndrome! I get that. I do wonder if sometimes they realise how much we worry and need to know they are ok too.New washer here and installed and IT SINGS!!!! OH hates singing appliances..Boiler serviced and I am wondering if a new one would be more energy efficient.. I'm really not sure.. I'm fairly sure there are much more important things I could be saving for.. very very slowly saving for.
The VERY delayed birtday present for Pixie has arrived finally and the late/re-ordered birthday present for squeak has arrived.. both will be saved for christmas now.

Round, when I'm overwhelmed by the amount that needs to be done I just do the easy bits first, and then throw out what's obviously rubbish. That generally makes quite a dent in it. Often I stop at that point, but at least it's an improvement.Today I have tidied the drawer in my bedside table and emptied and restacked the shelf underneath it. Unbelieveably it produced a small brown carrier bag of rubbish so that's helped. I also did the sink in the en suite and the loo, dusted the heated towel rail and bits of floor I could reach.I also ordered an 80g pot mover from B&Q so I can propel myself around the top floor of the house more easily, to click and collect when we go up to that end of the city for my Fracture Clinic appointment. The first one I found looked perfect until I realised it was for moving Bonsai trees!Better is good enough.10

Afternoon everyone. Paid stuff now finished until Wednesday.
Dailies barely achieved here. Baby due to arrive soon for night and tomorrow. Everything she needs has been prepped.
Round, in my master plan I've put down what I want to achieve and when, then gone back to my notebook and given myself at least three months leeway on each individual task. Life gets in the way and I don't want to feel I'm failing.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Hi ladies
Pleasant day here. DD safely deposited at sleepover, and I had a lovely chat with the girl’s mum and grandma. Onto the charity shop where I got some lovely bits - a Victorian stone hot water bottle and candlesticks - just my cup of tea.2lbs of blackberries picked and dinner is pork from the farmer up the road. Wine and book time now xx11 -

We are back from 3 lovely days away, and we have unpacked.
DH is happy because his hip is great and he has walked a lot (and quite quickly) with no pain, and he went on some trains.
I am happy because I got hugs from DS2 and family, and also from one of my dearest friends.
Rosie is happy because she got lots of attention and compliments for her good behaviour, and DS2 cooked lots of chicken bits just for her yesterday!
G'night all xx9 -
Iona glad your trip went well and you now have an active man!
Sort of keeping up, slowly and rather randomly this week. Did about 2hrs flying in church yesterday with a friend; it's the best clean it's had for ages. Wish we had more than 3 of us on the rota so we could keep it nicer, it's a lovely old church.
Today saw;
- wudupa
- emptied other stuff from DW and put away
- had major tidy of my swimming gear, which seemed to have spread itself everywhere; I seem to go 3 x per week atm which I'm not complaining about - but with one at the gym and the others 'wild', I tend to use different bags/shoes etc so it all gets rather confusing.
- went to zumba. Started Body Balance afterwards but after the warmup and Sun Salutation I felt so hot I actually thought it safer to leave the class. I was ok, just dripping with sweat even in the air con gym. Guess it's a sign of unfitness although I usually manage the 2 classes ok. However finally plucked up courage to get on scales for the first time since latest hols and I was the same as previously so that's a real relief and boost.
- Mr N and I went through next couple of month's diary as we had a few things to check.
- went for a walk by the nature reserve with the dragonfly area and lake as it was such a lovely evening. Not many dragonflies but lots of fairies.
- filled bird feeders
- checked greenhouse, pottered/potted a bit
- rang disabled friend to see if she fancied lunch/dinner tomorrow as I'd just got a voucher through from Beef£@ter. She was in a bit of a state as the friend who usually does all her shopping on a Sat had just let her know that she couldn't do it tomorrow. No trouble for me to do it as I go past Mr T on my way to/from the lake, so she is going to WhatsApp me a list in the morning. She sounded very confused and almost incoherent, quite worrying but I think it's medication effects and the time of day (evening). The possibility of lunch was too overwhelming a thought to cope with as well, so I'll go prepared either way tomorrow with slightly less scruffy clothes than I usually change into after swimming so I don't frighten anyone in Mr T.
Hugs to all needing reassurance and healing.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Iona so glad DH is healing well and active again.. I am very jealous over here hobbling about with my ankle brace and a headache despite the pain meds.
