Morning xx
Mahoosive hugs heading out to you all.
I received a message from DS last night asking if his suit was still chez moi? If not he's lost it. (How do you lose a suit?). I reassured him that there is a suit or suits hanging on the back of the RoD door.
There's now (hanging on the front of the RoD door ready to go and live with DS): one suit, three jackets without trousers, one trousers without a jacket, one denim shirt and a Uni bow tie.
And two broken coat hangers to be binned.
And all before I came down to make a brew.
If I could find my halo I'd polish it 😇

glad I didn’t have my covid booster last Saturday - arm is really achy and has been hurting all night. Bought some less restrictive soft bras to sleep in, so I’m hoping that will stop the rubbing and sore patches in their tracks. I’ve also bought some foamy shower gel in the hope I can use it soon.

Afternoon. Hope you're all ok.
This morning we took Poppet for a run round a field in a village nearby and combined it with a trip to buy new pillows. We have a dog sitter staying overnight while DH and I go out tonight and as I've been unwell recently our whole stash of pillows was depleted. In good news, very good news, my latest bowel cancer check came back clear so nothing else needed for now. Still bleed occasionally though but apparently nothing to worry about so I won't.
The dailies are done. I'm going to read now and then get ready to go out.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Glad you've had good news healthwise Jazee. Long may that continue. Yes Valli, regarding Vit D - I've been spending so much time outdoors I haven't needed it this summer but I do now anyway, and most certainly to help with this. Luckily we've still got some.I think I'm tired to having to re-evaluate how we do things. Brexit, Covid, petrol prices, gas and electricity prices, food prices, accidents .... Enough now.Better is good enough.12

So at 9.30am I meant to post…it is now past 1.30pm. Not sure what I have to show for it. Oh yes, a mahoosive ironing pile has been nearly cleared - DH’s shirts excepted, of course 😈, although I may have to concede them in collateral for him reading the above letter a zillion times for me. Lots of prepping done as DSiL and BiL are on their way up from HB land for a late lunch in passing on their way home. Not a lot else achieved as far as I can see.
Jazee - good news x9 -

@Honey_Bear thank you, thank you for saying so eloquently what I now realise has been swirling round my head for months. I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired of it all. Having to pick around conversations carefully with people & sometimes just saying what they want to hear because I hate confrontation (eg my mum - yes mum I have had my booster jab - no I haven’t actually and don’t want to even though I ‘should’ have had it in December - I make my own choices thanks.
Flying has been outdoors so I now ache and need a wash. Chicken dinner for tea xx10 -
Hi all
Thanks for your support. I honestly dont know what I would do without you all. DS thinks he is going to die young, so he would rather not know whats going on inside his body and just enjoy his life while he can. This breaks my heart but I cant wish away his health problems. He stayed over last night with his GF and has agreed that I can organise the scan, but when he said "I am scared Mum" I just felt so sad for him.
Been out with my ladies cycling group. DH is fishing so I have the house to myself and can do whatever I please. Going to just practice being kind to myself and potter/read. I will do my spreadsheets if I feel like it.
ASB you are so right, I think this is why I am becoming increasingly anti-social.
Right, off to make a brew then decide what to do next.10 -
