Oh my days it has been hot in our office. Nine hours, two very hot sticky meetings and some reports written. I was ready to have words with a colleague and put my point across firmly but politely about something that needed sorting - and she is off sick!
Tomorrow morning will be trying to deal with a problem between two members of staff that I have got dragged into - I am not looking forward to that. I am hoping to cycle in if the rain stays away so I had better get myself to bed.
Oh but I did fly before the paid stuff this morning. Bathroom de-limescaled, DSs room tidied, hoover run around, one load out which DH brought in before the thunderstorm.
I probably wont be able to sleep as I finished late but I have 3 lovely new library books to choose from so will go and read.

Congrats Kaz
well it has had a half-hearted attempt at raining a couple of times. Temperature dropped considerably, but as the day has gone on I developed a headache which I have put down to the humidity/threatening storm. Still sticky.
2 appointments tomorrow. Phone call from sis re mum as mum has had a letter for her eye appt and gone into a state of sheer panic. More work on trying to persuade her to go to the doctors.Whatever will be will be.

Morning all.Well done Kaz.
We had a little rain and thunder last night which has done absolutely nothing. Today's forecast rain all day now isn't due to 4pm and the temperature is twot already.
I'm aspiring to do admin, water greenhouse, dailies, dog walk and maybe some more gardening.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Twot here too, but I need to get moving.
Sorry to hear about Littledog11 -
Morning girls
Been up for a while; animals seen to, children eating brekkie, plans made for this morning.
We will be in local town for 9am as I need to collect a prescription, nip to Lidl and the hardware shop, and bob into the tip. DD then going to her friend’s for the day, will take DS swimming later.
I too have a stinking headache which I’m putting down to the weather.Have fab days all xx10 -
I don’t think we’ve had any rain overnight and ours is forecast for 3pm.
Been downstairs to put load 2 in WM but had not clicked switches properly so it’s actually load 1 that has run. DD will be on watching duty as I’m going to work; I’ll go onto my appointments from there. Covid silver lining - parking still free at the hospital.Headache gone because I took parrots…must take some with me. These are the kind of headaches where I feel sick too, not had any for a long time.Hope you all have a good day.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all. Welcome back pigpen.
We had a beautiful warm day yesterday, and I did quite a few bitty jobs.
Today has started out cloudy and decidedly cooler at 16 degrees. Thunderstorms and rain are forecast for our area this afternoon, but the weather radar map actually shows the rain skirting round us again
My aspirations for today:
- write a letter
- pack up a parcel
- make two cakes (one fatless and one ordinary sponge)
- bring the washing in (it's been out all night) and FUPA
- take DH to SW
- go to my study group with cake and coffee - and I mustn't forget milk!
- on the way home...
...buy food for Rosie
...post the parcel
...deliver 3 other things by hand to different people in different parts of town
- read some complicated paperwork and make notes
- walk Rosie before the thunder starts
- send some emails
- pack for 2 nights away
Best get a move on, then! Catch up later xx
