Hi ladies
Thank you for the thread; we’re back from camping and I really need to stay on list this week. Made a start today but I’m shattered after two nights on the floor so tomorrow will get stuck in xx10 -
Ahggg, the nights are pulling in, the solar path lights have just come on at 8.50pm, they weren't coming on until 9.50pm or so!Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning. Hope you're all ok today.
I'm up early but not as early as planned. Never mind. Just having a cuppa then we'll walk Poppet. I've a few odd bits of flying to do today but other than that DH and I are going to spend the day in York. It will be weird as visitors rather than for work.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.12 -
Morning all
Have a lovely time in York Jazee xx
First load of washing on, online banking checked, cuppa slurped. List as long as my arm but I’ll just potter through it today as best I can.For the knitters in the group - what are the absolute basics I should purchase to start me off? I need an easy easy little project to hit the ground running with, but genuinely have no clue which are the best basics of kit I need. Please and thank you 🥰
Big hugs to all xx13 -
Morning all
Dreadful nights sleep, and I have a challenging couple of days ahead at the paid stuff. Pilates class done, WM on. I need to do some paperwork for DH and I want to run the hoover around. I need to be in the office for about 10.30am so I have a bit of time.
Have a good Monday all x11 -
👋 Good morning......remember me?!
I haven't been here for a couple of months (time flies!!) I haven't caught up on the thread, so hugs, sticks & spoons to anyone that needs them.
I am a nanny! I have a beautiful grandson, who is now 5 weeks old 😊 I haven't seen him in the flesh for 4 weeks though 😭 I wish they lived closer 😢 He was safely delivered by c-section after 3 failed inductions, and a 5 day stay in hospital for DD1. I was staying up there to dog sit & help out, so I was able to see him (almost) straight away 😊
Work wise I am keeping busy. School holidays are a little busier than term time, and Tuesdays are manic as I have the older boys as well as the littlies. 3 day week this week though 😁 I am still behind on paperwork.
House wise - I am keeping on top of dailies. I am still feeling overwhelmed with some things - too many toys! The old shed has been tipped. The new one was delivered 6 weeks ago, but still isn't built! When (if!) it rains I end up with 4 adult bikes in the DR (unless I am working!) The summerhouse is full of shed stuff. I just want it sorted!! DH had a week off, but still no shed!
Today's plan? I am taking DD2 wedding dress shopping with my mum 😊 I am having a cuppa & a shower, and will need some breakfast. Bed is made. This afternoon I should pop over to the weed meadow - sorry - allotment. I will need to throw some water around, for what it's worth. It is my worst year yet!
Okay - I had best get on!
Have a lovely day everyone!11 -
Congrats GI
It will be a lazyish day in Valliland as I recover from the excesses of yesterday’s wedding. I do need to phone the hospital though…I should be going for an ECG tomorrow but my appointment letter is for an x-ray.

Congratulations GI and lovely to see you back. My heart smiled when I saw that you'd posted. And smiled even more when I read that you're a nanny 🥰
A colleague brought her 19 week old grandson to work this week. Adorable. No sign of my DS and GF procreating anytime soon though. Sigh.
Originally the weather forecast today was cooler with thunderstorms. Now they've changed it. To twot. Do they not know that I am seriously done with twot? However, it was very autumnal first thing. Mellow mists etc.
I think I have digger bees. Lots of little round holes in the back la... gra... desert. It looks like someone has been poking a centimetre round hole randomly everywhere 😳 So I had to do some Googling. My best guess is digger bees. I've ruled out tiny alien spacecraft. 👽 Twot for them!
While I remember. iona - I was relieved to see that you are taking a sabbatical from your volunteering. Rest and recuperation my lovely. Very sensible.
I'm up. My bed is straightened. I've breathed in autumnal air. Bliss. And had a brew.
At some point today I'm going to
Shower
Get dressed
Feed the birds
Put out the recycling
WUDUPA
P&S are calling for coffee at some point this morning. Better crack on then.
Have a good day. Keep cool.

Congratulations GI.
ASB, for knitting I suggest initially just picking up some wool and 4mm needles from a charity shop, then having a look at tube of u tutorials and having a go. If you can master the thumb method of casting on, it's much neater. I'm sure Piggers will be along with much more helpful advice.
