yes I want to leave it there at the end of this road. thanks!user1977 said:
Assuming you mean on the road itself (rather than the car park), yes, that's a public road (you can look it up yourself here: https://www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk/roads-streetlighting-and-parking/roads-north-lanarkshire ) and there are no marked parking restrictions. So would be fine.Agusya said:
I think its a public one - ML1 4UF - end of this road .thanks!user1977 said:
You don't need to know who owns it. You just need to be able to distinguish between (a) public roads and (b) things which aren't public roads, which is generally done using your common sense.Agusya said:
how do I know who owns it tho?Bradden said:
If it's private land.. why should they have to put signs up telling people not to park there? I don't have sign in my driveway buit I'd be annoyed if someone parked there and went on holidayAgusya said:why cant I? How do I know who owns the land / road?
If you have a specific location in mind, post the details here and we'll try to help.
Practically, I wouldn't expect it to be in one piece when I came back to it if I'd left it there for 2 weeks.
Why on earth someone would be destroying car left near offices 0 -
Because it might be causing a obstruction. Some people take offence to cars left for a long time on roads. & not forgetting the old. Well its been here for a few days, someone has abandoned it.Life in the slow lane0

next to offices surehappyc84 said:0 -
If it is open to all, then anyone can go there. Arsonists will rarely do their thing when there is an audience, but you will be leaving it there for several nights and days. It's your car and although you say it isn't worth much I bet it's worth more than £60 just in inconvenience value if something were to happen.Agusya said:

Why assume one to the office workers, who went home at 5pm but came back at midnight especially to damage your car?Agusya said:

More likely yobs looking for a joyride or to get some kicks.
I know two people who had their cars stolen when parked in street in Glasgow while they were at the theatre.
One of them had two stolen. The car that replaced the first stolen one was also stolen.
I bet his insurance company loved him.
But , it is your risk to take if you want to.1 -

Why on earth someone would be destroying car left near offices This is a business park more or less in the middle of nowhere. It's probably got some activity 24/7 due to haulage, etc.But I wouldn't be surprised if a car being sat for 2 weeks isn't noticed by some opportunists.
If you park it in a space at a warehouse it might blend in but annoy the staff at that warehouse. If you leave it on the roadway it'll likely annoy others who need to spend 2 weeks driving round it and stand out as unattended to anyone who drives round the park every few nights looking for abandoned cars.We used to get driving lessons around there because it was so quiet. How often is the bus? How much time would you save by driving to/from the airport directly?I don't think I'd park there to save £60.
