thank you . shame that there is nothing free overnight like this in Lanarkshireborn_again said:

The nearest city park and ride to the airport does not allow multi-day parking and IIRC shuts overnight.
IITC, although the Trams go-off around midnight, the Airline 100 bus does operate 24/7 from Waverley/Haymarket although after some point, it does run half-hourly through the night.
So you can get out there without too much hassle.
Lists the length you can park up for. Some do not allow overnight parking.0 -
That's in Eurocentral ... AFAIK there are no parking restrictions, and I think normal traffic rules apply. (e.g. the police sometimes run speed checks on McNeil Drive ... or they used to when traffic was a nightmare on the M8 when the roads upgrade project was underway so people used Eurocentral as a rat-run).
It's not exactly a handy place to leave you car for Edinburgh Airport though ... or are you planning to get the 900 airport bus that stops at the Maxim Business Park?
(I work not far from there so I know the area reasonably well).Jenni x1 -
Assuming you mean on the road itself (rather than the car park), yes, that's a public road (you can look it up yourself here: https://www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk/roads-streetlighting-and-parking/roads-north-lanarkshire ) and there are no marked parking restrictions. So would be fine.Agusya said:
I think its a public one - ML1 4UF - end of this road .thanks!user1977 said:
You don't need to know who owns it. You just need to be able to distinguish between (a) public roads and (b) things which aren't public roads, which is generally done using your common sense.Agusya said:
how do I know who owns it tho?Bradden said:
If it's private land.. why should they have to put signs up telling people not to park there? I don't have sign in my driveway buit I'd be annoyed if someone parked there and went on holidayAgusya said:why cant I? How do I know who owns the land / road?
If you have a specific location in mind, post the details here and we'll try to help.0 -

Practically, I wouldn't expect it to be in one piece when I came back to it if I'd left it there for 2 weeks.0 -

Leaving a car for any length of time at a place where you have no "right" to leave a car can have issues, clamping, removal, vandalism, theft
Clamping?

In Scotland, in exceptional cases, the police, the local council or the DVLA can clamp or get cars towed away on private landprowla said:lincroft1710 said:£60! for 2 weeks!! If you think that is expensive, check out charges at Gatwick!!!

We know that now, but when I originally posted about clamping the OP hadn't specified whether or not it was public road, private road or private landDanDare999 said:
