Confirmation from the court should be good enough for us (and the Government) I think. What say you, @Umkomaas ?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This is becoming tiresome, after a 3 year battle with I Park Services, DCB Legal takes another no-hoper to court but discontinues at some point. Never sent a Witness Statement and never sent a Notice of Discontinuance. Defendant had to learn from the court it had been dropped. What a waste of time and effort and no chance of claiming costs for their unreasonable behaviour. When are DCB Legal going to face consequences for their unprofessional conduct?4070

Just email them at info@dcblegal.co.uk with the following:
Dear Sir/Madam,
Re: [Claim Number]
I write in relation to the above claim, which I have been informed by the court has been discontinued. However, I note with some concern that I have not received a copy of the N279 notice of discontinuance from you, the claimant's solicitor.
Under CPR 38.3(1), it is clear that when a claimant discontinues a claim, they must file a notice of discontinuance and serve a copy on all other parties. Your failure to serve me, the defendant, with this document is a significant breach of the CPR, and such procedural failure is unacceptable.
This failure has caused me unnecessary anxiety and wasted time in dealing with this matter. I therefore demand that you immediately remedy this failure by sending me a copy of the N279 discontinuation notice.
Furthermore, I expect not only a full explanation for this breach of the rules but also a formal apology for the inconvenience caused. Your firm’s failure to adhere to the CPR should not result in further detriment to me as the defendant.
If I do not receive the N279 notice, a formal apology, and a response within 7 days of this letter, I will escalate this matter further, including but not limited to seeking redress for this failure through a formal complaint process and costs associated with your procedural failure.
Yours faithfully,

ParkingEye let DCB Legal loose in trying to rob @Scottrob1, obviously having little faith in their case to proceed themselves. @Scottrob1 turned up at Blackpool court today, only to find that DCB Legal had discontinued but failed to inform him. Wasted day, now looking for loss of earnings compensation. P*** poor (no) show by DCB Legal. Totally unprofessional. Discontinuation number:408

@nrtdlx, following forum advice, achieves a predictable discontinuation from our tiresome UKPC/DCB Legal duo. Discontinuation number:410Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. @TakeItAway forces a discontinuation out of Northwest Parking Management and DCB Legal. That duo have had their chips to take away on this case! Worth a read of the short thread (link below) to see the shenanigans @TakeItAway has had to put up with. But, with reserved costs, Northwest Parking Management are now going to cop for a three figure sum. Karma!411

Although @caszar's thread suggests UKPC/DCB Legal, it is, in fact, a CP Plus/DCB Legal capitulation.
