I'm intrigued by this thread. Does this 'vampire' load tend to affect GSHPs too? Ours has a meter which appears to only count power drawn by the compressor. Compressor not on = 0 kWh used. We have nothing that can meter the system as a whole.0

@Strummer22. I guess if you can cope with no electricity in the house for a few hours, pull all the fuses/switch off all other breakers in your fuse box/consumer unit apart from the GSHP and monitor the main meter.0

My LG ASHP is in not used overnight (and has its own dedicated electricity meter). It consumed 60 W in 7 hours of "standby" when I checked. But "vampire load" is certainly an issue with some makes/models of ASHP.Reed0
