Chase UK App problem

Anyone else having issues with the Chase app this morning?  I updated the app yesterday.
When I first logged in, it displayed my accounts but wouldn't let me make payments.  Error message came up to 'try again'.    
Uninstalled and reinstalled the app but now I can't log in or re-register.

    You may need to clear the app data to be able to re-register. A while back I encountered a bug whereby if you try to re-register an old device, it does not proceed to send an SMS for authentication, but the token it stores to bypass OTP is no longer valid.

    I did clear my cache and storage before I deleted the app and reinstalled but I'll ty again.  Otherwise I'll have to contact them direct.

    I've had "unable to retrieve your info" since yesterday - I think their systems are overwhelmed at the moment, I assume through traffic with end-July paydays. It really shouldn't be like this

    Are you accessing it via Wifi, from VM?

    If you are and turn off wifi and use your data it should be ok.

    Yes I was using Virgin Media wifi and it wouldn't work.  Used my mobile data instead and hey presto working again but still NOT working with wifi.

    Interesting, any idea what it is that Virgin Media are doing with their internet services that prevent the Chase app from functioning?

    No idea.  I know they advised us they were applying changes to their network over the weekend (I think), and I had assumed it may have just been local infrastructure, but perhaps it wasn't.  Perhaps they need to whitelist something?

    Had this problem Yesterday. After contacting their support team who did a little troubleshooting with me, found I was OK when I switched off my wireless (Virgin Media) and used my 4G.
    She mentioned there was currently an issue with some Network services.
    Retired 1st July 2021.

    Thanks for the workaround suggestions.  Very odd we have to use mobile data rather than wifi to access the app!
