Ds1 footy match was canceled so i was at Mr Ts by 10am the time it says on website they open on a sunday, got there at 9.55am to find store is open and is packed!!! Brass band playing outside all very xmasy! Got quite a few of the heavy items i wanted from the christmas shopping list whilst dh and kids are at home to help me unload car, and will be going to finish of the rest in 2 smallish shops through the week whilst kids at school.
Plans for rest of the day make meat and potatoe pie for tea, make a tiffin fridge cake, my friend has given me the recipie so want to try it and if we like it will make more for over the hoildays, plan on watching a christmas film later and getting everything ready for last week of work/school...not long now im getting really excited have only 2 presents to sort out this week but i know what they are and where to get them.
Have a lovely sunday everyone.

bitterly cold here. the frost still hasnt melted so I doubt it will. been to Asda and it was eerily quiet. lots of checkout girls though so I was out in a flash. bought one of their special meat roasts for tea. going out later so will pop it in slow cooker and it will ready for us when we get home.
trying to get some washing done. only doing stuff that will dry quick in the dryer and giving them an extra spin before I put them in.will then decide which is must do out of the left overs as our radiator space is limited.
must write some cards before we go to hand deliver when we get there.x x x0 -
Morning everyone

HAPPY BRTHDAY NELSKI and anyone else whose celebrating today.
I would do one of the smilies but my computers having a breakdown again LOL.
went shopping for a coat for ds 15 yesterday and he is a NIGHTMARE, moanin
moanin, he ended up with ANOTHER hoodie for 70 quid !!!!!
we are off the the piccies today to see the golden compass and then when i get back theres loads to do, i NEED to sort my house out desperately. its very claean and neat but EVERYTHING is in cuboards out the way so i need to sort them out which will make the house a tip again. i totally agree with the other poster about christmas trees and decorations gettin all over the place, it never seems to end. we have loads of lights and stuff out the front of the house as well which we put up yesterday and it was a nightmare to do as they wernt straight and then the bulbs were out and had to be taken down again. i tell oh EVERY year to check but he always says they are ok.
anyway i hope everyone has a good day and gets everything done that they are supposed top.

Helloo!
Happy Birthday Nelski:j :j have a great day!
Have been busy this morning cleaning the windows, me doing the inside and DH doing the outside. Nets have been washed. Cant believe the dirt on them and its not been that long since they've been done! Must be London Smog!:rotfl:
I've now got to pop to Asda for bread and milk, not looking forward to that as its sunday and usually heaving!:o
Later this afternoon I'm off to the Church Carol Concert, I really love that, they light the huge xmas tree and the children stand around the crib and sing "Away in a Manger" and I usually get a little tear in my eye:o and then its mince pies and mulled wine afterwards!:DMore Tea Vicar!:rotfl:
DH's aunt got us a tin of Quality Street yesterday - put together with the Celebrations I bought....its not looking good for the thighs!!!:rotfl:
haribo - I think "YOU" are Saturday Kitchen with all that baking you've done!

Afternoon Guys!!
Happy Birthday Nels:beer: ...have a good one!!
Thanks for all the lovely messages. OH is still very sore and bruised but has managed to have a shower and take his plaster off...ouch! Ive never heard him swear so much:eek:
DD has been helping loads around the house and is going round her friends this afternoon. OH & I are just going to watch some TV. I have recorded Cranford, so may watch that if he wants to.
DW & WM are on ATM and will be sorted when finished. I have my helper coming in the morning so will leave the rest of stuff needing doing for her as I just dont have the energy.
Have just eaten liver and mash for lunch and was scrummy. OH & DD just had oven chips and beans with bread and butter as the oven was on anyway. Supposed to be going round nephews for dinner so must book the black cab in a minute. Its only £1.50 each way as I have a special card and OH shouldnt really be driving yet.
Anyway, hope everyone is ok.
Hugs to all.

Afternoon everyone and a very happy birthday to Nelski
PP - definitely leave the rest - you are entitled to help so may as well leave her something to do
Dull day here - dd is not well again with her tonsils. it seems that all her ear trouble has ended up in her tonsils. I will have to get her a drs appointment tomorrow as she hasn't full recovered from the last bout - poor thing. She is snuggling in the poorly quilt on the sofa munching tortilla chips which she says make her throat feel better. I don't know what I'm going to do if she needs to take time off - there's no way I'm asking Mr Sharing Caring again. Anyhoo as I'm housebound I will just spend the day knitting and flyladying and listening to the two big matches on the radio. Dd is a liverpool fan but can't be bothered to listen to it herself so I have to give her a sort of commentary
have a great rest of the day everyoneI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
