Sounds like a claims company you authorised to take a chunk of any redress. They've probably minimised their operations now that most of the obvious cash has been hoovered up.

They'll probably forward on your share on the funds in due course, but you could write them a letter if you want, as the company is still technically active. You might also want to tale the opportunity to end your contract with them for any future redress.

It's not a waste as although you may not get the money any quicker, you would save yourself all that future money.

This company were only incorporated on 26th Jan 2021.    That seems strange as it's after the PPI complaints deadline.   Did you employ them to do anything related to your tax after January 2021?

They are still active but not regulated (so there is no access to a regulated complaints process)

They don't just have access to charging you against this PPI interest rebate but any future rebate you got for unconnected things.  You must get them removed as agents.

  • There are two aspects here.

Removal of them as your agent is easy but of they have a signed deed of assignment then you cannot get that removed without their agreement.

So any income tax refund due for any reason for any of the tax years covered by the assignment would be paid to them even if they were no longer your agent.
