Take this example
Cholesterol, heart-disease mortality, and cholesterol-lowering drugs
and explain what advice I personally have offered by posting a link to that article?
Surely you agree that in order to understand any particular issue you need to hear and consider ALL informed opinion and not just those which have "official" approval.
I'm sure everyone is aware of my concern about the damaging effect of low cholesterol levels on the photosynthesis of a particular vitamin but pointing to evidence that other people share my concern is NOT the same as providing medical advice. If it is then I am sure you can explain logically why you believe it to be medical advice as opposed to just medical information enabling purchasers of medical services to make rational informed decisions.

Can you provide the links that suggest I have ever made such a claim?0 -
I know Wikipedia is editable and fallible but what Ted says is true:
"Medical advice can be distinguished from medical information, which is the relation of facts. Discussing facts and information is considered a fundamental free speech right and is not considered medical advice."0 -

Mo, perhaps you should send that quote to the abuse team too.0 -
Ted, just because you are so dogmatic is not evidence that the 'medical bully boys' and the moderators are conspiring against you!0

Discussing facts and information is considered a fundamental free speech right
However, this is privately owned and NOT a free speech site (please read the T&Cs and Rules), and nor is it a medical advisory site. It is a MONEY SAVING site and we expect discussion to be kept to money saving issues.

Then what about the rubbish posted in other forums such as "Money Savers Arms" some of which is totally unsuitable for this type of forum?0 -
Hi djohn2002uk
That's why Martin first set the MoneySavers Arms, and later Discussion Time, up, to keep completely non-MoneySaving chat off the main boards.
Have a good weekend!
