What's particularly galling is that on the back of Tuesday's gains there were a couple of new threads in which people were asking how best to invest in the S&P500 and Nasdaq.  They were egged on, of course.  I tried to warn one of them and got the usual abuse.

    Failing upwards I guess.
Well that is defying the law of gravitation...
I don't think normal laws apply in a certain case..
You are absolutely right looking into this S&P500, world heat map performance this week. Instead of keep falling they defy the law of gravitation by keep going up. TSLA are falling after the news that Elan Musk might proceed acquiring Twitter. I do not want to add my TSLA position as I already have enough. Time to get into APPL?? But their P/E ratio is still relatively high @24.62. I might start pounding it when they keep falling reaching around 20-21.

Abuse of any kind shouldn't be tolerated, I hope you reported the posts.

I'm surprised to hear of the egging on though, that's also pretty unusual for this forum, normally people are helping with recommendations of how to save money/pick suitable platforms etc. Most of the posts I've read have been along those lines, together with the usual wisdom of making sure investments are right for circumstances and considered over an appropriate timeframe.

If suggesting to most people that investing regularly regardless of the markets is 'egging on' then I misunderstand the phrase. Anyone with a workplace pension will be invested in the S&P500 and adding to it every month. Hardly something to discourage.

Why does that matter? Might be cheaper for next months contribution
