What's particularly galling is that on the back of Tuesday's gains there were a couple of new threads in which people were asking how best to invest in the S&P500 and Nasdaq. They were egged on, of course. I tried to warn one of them and got the usual abuse.0

That's nothing like what has happened, though. It is not asset prices that are giving the Fed cover to tighten, it's surprisingly low unemployment figures and the creation of new jobs. Those things are what the economy needs and what we should want. So almost the opposite of your prediction.

Instead of keep falling they defy the law of gravitation by keep going up. TSLA are falling after the news that Elan Musk might proceed acquiring Twitter. I do not want to add my TSLA position as I already have enough. Time to get into APPL?? But their P/E ratio is still relatively high @24.62. I might start pounding it when they keep falling reaching around 20-21.

If suggesting to most people that investing regularly regardless of the markets is 'egging on' then I misunderstand the phrase. Anyone with a workplace pension will be invested in the S&P500 and adding to it every month. Hardly something to discourage.3
