  • @merlinsbeard thank you, I have requested more support as I am struggling, none was offered formerly and I have been working with him continuously and I am feeling worse not better!

@badmemory thank you, I am doing ok, but felt so anxious on Sat in work I just felt unwell by the end, I think it is very validating when you pointed out it is more normal to be anxious than not!

Hey MFD, it is one of these events where it was behavioural but we were able to reflect and see where it went wrong, doesn't stop what happened and I am not sure if I feel worse knowing it was technically preventable! It is MH as well, so there is an expectation that these things can happen!

@Cornish_mum, sadly I worked until after 10pm that night and was back in for two more 12 hour shifts straight after! Thank you, it really has knocked my confidence in my abilities!

I spoke to work yesterday and told them that instead of feeling better, six shifts in, I am feeling worse. No residents or staff would know it, I just pretend I am not scared and wade in the thick of it, but inside I feel so awful. It has knocked my confidence so much as well, the deputy and manager were both very supportive when I told them and have said we will have a proper meeting tomorrow. Hubby got out the christmas decs to help cheer me up and it has worked! The lounge does look amazingly festive!
  • December already! Time just flies doesn't it! Got my mum and sister coming round later to watch movies, so will need to give the house a quick tidy. Having some time out with hubby tomorrow, off to a place an hour away which is a Christmas wholesalers and I cannot wait to go and be immersed in Christmas!

Working out last months TT's and going to split them between mortgage and CC. Still haven't gotten round to selling the car, feels like hard work to get it all sorted as it is SORN and not insured at the moment, just need to get it done.

Was chatting to my dad as we drove past a little cottage I had initially fallen in love with before we found our current house, I said, I bet I could have paid half of that mortgage easily by now! It was on the market for £115k, it did need work doing and was grade 2 listed. Hubby would have gone for it with me but wasn't as taken so I think he was glad it went before we were ready! Anyway, my dad then said, I am impressed at your current mortgage, what was it again? So for perspective, our house was bought for £195k, our mortgage was £187,500. It is now in the 134's! It is really nice that my dad has noticed that as he is quite old school, buy sell, buy bigger!
  • £92.50 OP to the mortgage, taking this month to £142.50 OP which is nice! Sent the same amount to the CC and have moved £250 over to the high rate saver! Nice for a December!
  • Mortgage for December:

    £134019.66 after two OP.

Hubby and I have just sent over £19.67 so this will see it drop into the next thousand pounds for the end of the year! Hooray!

Will update officially once it has gone in!

So it is official, our mortgage to end 2022 is:

    £133,999.99

    Woohoo!
  • Hope everyone has has a wonderful Christmas and a great new year! I worked over Christmas, hubby and I also ended up with a bug so it hasn't been a fun few weeks. Still coughing now two weeks later!

Sent over the first OP of the year, £68.25 to the mortgage and to the CC! That felt good! Have also saved £250 into a 5% saving account, not bad so far!

Will check the mortgage later, always find the delay annoying when it is bank holidays
