Hi aimingforthegood life, I thought i'd pop over and say hello.

Personally, we will be ok, but my OH is home in the days as he works night. I worry about DD1 and others who live on a low incomes

Thanks @L9XSS it was a bit hot for me, just thankful I was in work!haha.
Hey MFD! I think after the pandemic lots of people are looking for a change, certainly encouraged burn out working throughout! It is hard to see things changing when people are going, we have lost some good staff recently and you can see the difference in work, sad. Yeah, we will be ok, I just resent the costs as we work hard and are already stingy haha. But it really concerns me how some of my colleagues are going to cope- they have families and are all low income, very scary.
Sent over £130.33 extra to M&S- made up of £80 previous dental payment and TT's over the week. Usual payment went out today £120.10, this makes me really happy as we have already doubled the payment! I will aim for another £120.10, but this is way overestimating what I can afford this month, but it is good to have a goal! To not reach it is not a fail, that's what I need to remind myself!
Having some real dental issues, my tooth sensitivity which was likely 'grinding my teeth' turns out to be the root in distress, causing agonising toothache. Finally got into an emergency appointment and I now need a root canal. This will cost about £1k. It isn't the money I am bothered about, it is the fact that I told the dentist it wasn't right and he fobbed me off and now the damage is unfixable. I am quite upset about this to be honest, I don't know what to do next, I am already an anxious dental person, I am angry at the dentist and myself- I should have been my own advocate. Thinking I may need to find a new dentist, I don't think I can trust him anymore- or I just go back, explain my upset and concerns. Man, I don't know. Can't get a root canal until November, but luckily the emergency dentist has done some work to minimise pain until it is done.0 -
Have managed more TT's, current total is: £28.83, will send it over on Monday when I am off. Will have added a little more by then hopefully!
Not doing as well with money this month, I seem to be spendy, on snacks and random things and am nearing the end of my budget! Still got three weeks to go! Oops!! Need to rein it in! This may effect my TT's as well. Did so well last month, it is odd when I don't feel I have been massively different but clearly I have!
Went on a lovely walk with my mum today, she picked and it was hilly but short, she bought us cakes and a milkshake, helps with the motivation!

Popped £38.83 over today! That is £49.36 sent, looking for another £70.74 this month to send and that would be a triple payment again!
Had a look, and at the normal payment we would now pay this off in 19.5months, rather than 22months! Every little helps!3 -
A week later and another collection of TT's, including £25 1poll payout and some save the change from hubby. Grand total: £48.86 this week, really pleased with this!
Total: £349.29
This is nearly at the triple payment mark, only need to find £21.88 to reach my target, woohoo!
This should take my loan to: £2301.90

Oh been away a little! Had an amazing time in New York, wedding was lovely, we walked absolutely miles- over twelve miles two days in a row! And I am happy to be home and resting my tootsies!
Ran out of money for more TT's before I went, had a total of £13.64 by 6th Sept, this left me £8.24 from my target but I only worked this out today, I am sure I could have found it somewhere!
Anyways, we had £500 on my card for anything extra/only bought on card/doesn't except cash etc and we had £196.22 left from that, I added my £80 from previous payments and the TT, and have now sent it all over! (We also have left over dollars for future use!)OP of £289.06 to CC
This means including the usual payment, we have triple paid this month, and I need to find £71.64 to pay it a quadruple payment! Can add finding £8.24 as well to push the extra triple payment last month up!haha.CC £2181.80 before OP1 -

Thanks MFD! It is a big and tiring city! Haha.
So, we decided to pay off the loan using some savings, I got my settlement figure of £1711.84 and have sent the money over, in two days the loan will be gone!
M&S loan: £0The settlement cost is -£180.90 of the current figure we owe, so they have deducted some interest costs which is wonderful! we have saved £180.90 by paying it off early!
Now to reconvene and replan what the next steps for savings are, we need to rebuild our savings whilst now focusing on the Credit Card, and building up some holiday moolah too!2 -
