at a slightly eye watering 90 quid per sq m. The only other supplier was based abroad with a long lead time…but was significantly cheaper.
You should have blagged yourself a trade card, in future use mine 87645099832 and I’ll get the discount credited to my account 😊

Perhaps....weirdly I walked into Wickes the other evening and they offered me a trade card randomly. I told them they were possibly mistaken with respect to my eligibility but they insisted! I am in there quite a bit in fairness...and that definitely comes in handy.

Cheap PVC panels do look cheap.
I tend to agree. I’ve not seen them in person but I think they use a hollow structure and are lightweight.
There’s plenty of colours and patterns available on the bathroomcladding site and are cheap at around £8.99 each panel.
Having had another look and bearing in mind that ceramic tiles are obviously solid, the Dumawall range on there looks good and easy to cut and fit. Hard wearing too.
Large format rather than long panels and 5mm depth.
Packs of eight though which could mean
spending another £100 just for a couple more tiles.
    https://bathroomcladdingdirect.co.uk/product-category/bathroom-cladding/dumaplast-cladding/dumawall-plus/

Not for me, better with large format tiles.
plus would also recommend fitting a classi-seal around the bath with having a shower over it.
Good idea about classi-seal. Seen it before but had forgotten.
I think I need to weigh up the pros & cons of either option.
Given the time it’s taking, I’d more likely get a tiler to install ceramic tiles and maybe a plumber to put the already purchased Triton shower in.
I’m considering panels as I can fit those myself and the shower too.
Where are you currently with the bathroom? Bath plumbed in, plastered?
Bath is plumbed in. All plastered and painted.
Next is cladding/tiling the shower area with something that looks good.
Then floor/skirting followed by loo and basin/splash back.
Lastly fit electric towel rail (all electric property) and fan heater.

Topps is pricey but good to have a look and get some ideas. If you reverse image search some of their ranges if you do like anything, you may find them cheaper. .
Had a good look today and they have LVT flooring too. Hoping to get both from there.
Given the areas are quite small and it’s DIY, the cost is less important than being able to browse, negotiate and get samples quickly.
Topps have offers from £21 upwards per sm. Most of the tiles are 30mm x 60mm but there are larger on offer.

As far as iam aware with Wickes you have to apply online, and send copies of invoices and letter head of your business. They always ask, but can’t be bothered for amount stuff I buy off them.

They just signed me up at the counter. I guess they had some quota to satisfy for signing people up on trade cards.

Ok great. Agreed diy means you can spend more on nice fixtures and fittings.

What are you doing with the bath panel? Very simple to tile with backer board and looks good imo.

I had the same. The woman asked what we were buying for, said we were renovating and she offered us a trade card. Already saved quite a bit with it.

I’ve bought the panel that goes with the bath. Problem is it’s very tight between the walls.
It’s quite flexible but has moulded ends which makes it difficult to trim.

If it's the one that came with the bath and is quite flexible then they go even floppier when you cut off the end and can end up making the whole job look a bit cheap. If you've got the budget you could look at getting one that's made from fibreglass and much better quality although one I'm thinking of (Instinct Puracast) cost c.£100 when I last bought one 2 1/2 years ago.

Is there support under the top edge of the bath? If not then at the shower end cut two lengths of timber to wedge between the floor and the underside of the bath in the corners. This will prevent the corners flexing as this tends to be where leaks can develop over time.

Some have mentioned DIY tiling but don't forget to factor in the cost of a tile cutter large enough to cut the size of tiles you chose. For such a small area it might work out cheaper (and definitely quicker) to get a tiler in.
Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.
