Bath/shower area finish

Hi
I need to choose some panelling for my bathroom project shower area.
The walls are freshly painted in Dulux Egyptian Cotton with a white ceiling. White units and probably a grey slate colour floor.
While I’m ok doing the graft, I stall a bit on decor choice.
I’m keen on some PVC cladding/panelling from bathroomcladding.com as I can fit it myself and they have plenty of different designs.
Just not sure what would look best.
Any ideas appreciated.

Am not keen on pvc panels, pref a large format tile.
one piece of advice make sure you prime the plaster walls with tile primer (not pva) before sticking panels or tiles.2 -

Hi Dan.
Google is your friend. As is Pinterest.
I also really struggle to come up with schemes, so just keep looking and loooooking until I see things I like. Make a shortlist, and keep looking at them in the context of your own bathroom. Take your phone into the bathroom, and look at the images one by one as you also look at your 'room.
Perhaps even narrow things down from such basics as, 'Do I want the bath shower area to be light or dark - what will give me the feel that I want?' if 'dark' appeals, then look at images that have both dark floors and shower panels, with light walls - do they look as you imagine?
Try and narrow it down that way.2 -

Personally I adopted Bendys approach but had a set theme in mind. For example we wanted a Moroccan style theme so I just google imaged that until I found something that I liked to give us a starting point, and then looked for tiles from suppliers to suit what we wanted. Topps is expensive but they have a good visualiser.
If you do reconsider tiles I'd have a look at using epoxy grout. A little bit griefy to use but it has a lot of benefits especially in a bathroom.2 -

PVC tile effect panels just look like a good idea.1
