I applied but I wasn't doing it for the rewards. I'd just be using it for the convenience of a credit card personally.
Did they approve your straight away? Both me and my OH have been provisionally approved and waiting for a manual check 🧐🤨
I applied on thursday and got referred for a manual check, logged back into the app today to get a message saying it was approved and it asked me to set up a PIN and direct debit, so just waiting on the card now.

Think mines was not approved instantly due to the fact I have a CIFAS protective registration marker on my credit file.

Asda has teamed up with Jaja Finance to launch the Asda Money Credit Card, which offers cashback on purchases at Asda and elsewhere.

I was approved straight away from the application.
I use ASDA a lot as it’s on my doorstep. I also go there for fuel and I use my car for work so it’s not a bad deal at all for me.
  • Does anyone know that you definitely qualify for cashback on ASDA fuel. Can't seem to find a list of exclusions on the website.

With the old card it certainly used to exclude certain things including instore currency purchases.

I also recall thay they used to be selective with their cardholder customers by favouring those (with better rewards) who did not clear their monthly balances.

    Update to previous post.

Have attempted to register for new card. Everything fine until "soft credit check" then swirling cog followed by "whoops unable to complete - do you wish to restart application?" Tried Firefox and Edge browsers - no difference.

Oh dear - looks like I'm going to miss out on this one.

    Fuel is included..from their website:

*The Asda Pounds you earn will be equal to 1% of the
value of purchases you make using your credit card in
Asda stores, at Asda.com, at George.com, and on Asda
products and services, including fuel and other purchases
    from Asda petrol stations.

like you stated, currency is not.
  • Not to be outwitted by ASDA, I've had another go, this time using Opera browser.

Same details except this time I answered the question "might you be facing financial difficulties..." yes

Totally different answer this time - "your application has been rejected. If you want to find out more, phone TransUnion......."

Time to go in the huff with ASDA :)

So you told them that you might be facing financial difficulties - and you're surprised they said no? If you've said you can't cope with your current finances, their unlikely to offer you a new credit card. Did you mean to answer 'No'?
