Thanks @Coupon-mad; is it too early to go into detail about how these PCNs, CCJs and court claims will be stopped? Am keeping my eyes peeled on the sticky. Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx0

Well it's common knowledge that the DLUHC stated (including in that open meeting they had before the Aug 2021 consultation) that the Government's aim is "full compliance" (i.e. no PCNs need to be issued because signs will be so clear and ambiguity removed!).
That will not happen - impossible - but given that's the aim and the will of Government, I'd be surprised if it's flown over PPC World's heads that income based solely on what they call 'enforcement' isn't likely to have any longevity.
They need to start making money from other things, like EV bays, and being paid by landowners for policing accessible bays, security patrolling, marshalling, etc., instead of just PCNs.
Even UKPC (who are re-branding according to another thread here last month) have indicated in this month's Parking Review that they are moving away from a reliance on enforcement-based income. As for reducing court claims and CCJs, well that all depends upon whether the DLUHC understand that the PCN roboclaim 'bulk litigation' model that is a conveyor belt to nodded through CCJs, depends upon the false added £70 per PCN.
Cut off that blood supply and the vampires die. We know that but do the Government realise it?
Time will tell. Do the DLUHC want to stop the blood supply to CCJs galore or do they not 'get it' that the £70 is absolutely intertwined with the "CCJs are our aim" current bulk litigation model.
So...it will be down to what the DLUHC have understood and what it then says about the extortion of the false added 'fees' in the Draft Impact Assessment and public consultation.
The Govt were clear from the outset in reported comments in 2022, that the decisions on the JR issues are being 're-made'. I've no idea which way it will go. I've tried...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I got a letter from the courts today, that was quick!
@Coupon-mad, it would have been before DJ Grandhad him in my notes from you, that he was one of the two I wanted!
BY CONSENT IT IS ORDERED THAT
1. The default judgment entered on 8 April 2022 be and is hereby set aside:
2. The entry in the Register of Judgments, Order and Fines be cancelled:
3. The Claimant do pay the Defendant the sum of £275 only (being the cost of the Defendant's N244 application) by 4pm on 6 March 2023:
4. The claim form be reserved at the Defedants current address by 4pm on 6 March 2023:
5. The defendant do file a response to the Claim by 4pm on 22 March 2023.
So he didn't order on point 6. Do I now message a friendly messaged to BWL with my bank details and a wink?
I wonder if BWL will want round 2, because if they start round 2, I'll start round 3 on them
I had a couple messages from friends today wishing me luck, one of them, it turned out when he saw the name BWL he said they had done him for £300 a couple of years ago by threatening bailiffs and court action. There needs to be more awareness how to fight these muppets
You need to tell BWL how you want to be paid. If you want them to send a cheque, that's what you tell them and confirm your address.
If you want it by bank transfer (I certainly would) then yes you need to give BW your account details. Also give them a refence so you can spot it when it arrives. This could be anything you want. N244 Repayment, Court Consent Order, or the claim reference number, or Up Yours, or anything you like.
Personally I would use something like my first suggestion no matter what the temptation.
Send a CC copy to the claimant themselves, (to rub it in) and a BCC copy to yourself.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks7 -
@Fruitcake oh that was enjoyable sending that email to BWL and PPL3

Hope everyones doing well? I'm still about, just taking the time to focus on work which feels like an absolute luxury after the year with this thing lurking in the back ground.
CCJ was removed within the week, unbelievable relief. My credit score was slightly tarnished because when my business bank was shut and I couldn't open another, I didn't realise that I missed a phone payment for £16, so thats now on the record as a missed payment, frustrating but hey.
I havent received the money yet, they have 3 days left to send. I also havent received anything in the post. I'm wondering if they are going to leave it until the last second or they wont start proceedings again on the PCN.
On the 4th, I assume once the postie has been and if he doesn't pass me anything from BWL, then thats it? the claim is dead even if it arrives on the 5th?
What about the money owed, what happens if they miss the date the judge set?2 -

My bank allows me to 'pay in' cheques by photographing them via the app.
The benefit of that is that you can frame the original and hang it in your downstairs toilet.9 -
If they don't pay you, is it time to send the bailiffs in?0

Besides the fact that there is a minimum sum for even getting a court order for bailiffs assigned, the key bit is "court order". I also think there is a minimum amount before you can even get bailiffs assigned. c£600 I think.1
