@Grizebeck I cant access our business account, its completely gone, there's no access I'm telling you.

I spoke to Barclays, they said they have to request access and they'd email them to me once I have them.

Not sure if you miss-understood. I can get them, but I have to apply and they will be sent. I have no instant access

No i understand that.  Or could you go into a local branch and ask them to posted out?

I could do but I requested them on the phone the morning learning of the bank closure so I'm not sure it would speed up the process. I was merely stating originally I hit a snag with the Sterling application because of this.

If sterling accepts, you will be a friend for life but if they're similar to Monzo who I had high hopes for, then I suspect the same out come we will see.

Please put yourself in my shoes, I generally right now have no idea how to receive payments to pay myself next week. I will try the DD trick you mentioned, and if it works then again; thank you. The prospective comment really got under my skin sorry. I'm not dwelling in self pity, I'm just in a situation where I cannot pay my mortgage or food next week, i'm struggling to find a solution

I get it.  And the CCJ is playing its part, I'm sure.

Holy cow! I feel for you, as I am sure we all do. Have you tried some of these accounts which are specifically non credit/overdraft bearing? If it is in effect cash only might that get you around the CCJ?

Could someone i.e partner open an account in the business name, allowing you to pay in that cheque?

Would a prepay mastercard/visa help? Possibly a Post Office one, and pay that cheque?

Just trying to come up with ideas. Good luck

Of course the DD will work

    What about using your savings?

If you have a Tesla then you should surely have savings... The mind boggles if someone (i assume this doesn't apply to you) has a tesla but doesn't have money for a rainy day (in a separate simple building society account)

Ive gotta say this, you need to put this is into prospective and just accept that your issue with the CCJ is very small compared to much bigger issues we have

    Hi @Grizebeck,

Prospective? Which is right now, my money is in a cheque somewhere I cannot cash, or even have in my person.
I think you should look at the word used; it should be perspective.

Thank you! We tried using my partners name, but I think the process is once you put the company name into the application it searches directors I think.

I still havent had a response from Natwest or Virginmoney - fingers crossed.

We used our savings through covid and through house renovations. Not needed to justify this but my income comfortably covered our out goings month to month, with plenty of contracts in work, why would we need to rely on further savings. Not really comfortable justifying stuff like this.

    Hopefully your Sterling suggestion works

  • I look forward to getting my sense of humour back

I was reviewing some more posts over the weekend and just wanted to check 2 things

    1. BW legal are going to say they performed a soft search which showed me at my old address. Is the burden for them to prove this is true? On Experian it shows I lived at my current address since 2019, surprising that ... I'm just wondering if its too late to submit a screenshot as evidence? I just want to be prepared to counter any comments

    2. I'm really worried I've missed something. I've had a Notice of Hearing of Application and a date set. I've done nothing else other then prepare a skelly and file the local authorities on a local drive. Whats a NoA? and should I send a DQ N180? I think that gets sent to me to fill in, right? or have I got that wrong?
