10 weeks ouch, hopefully they will have the offer by the end of the month. We waited 8 weeks and ours was a very easy application with little queries ect. I will say Kent rarely decline an application once it’s got this far.

We had our offer in the post within days.

Good luck, stay positive. You can’t rush Kent unfortunately.

I moved in 2 weeks ago and still can't believe I'm in 😂
Once you in Kent Reliance will send you a letter stating first payment amount which is due next month and it includes interest on days left in current month and your contractual payment for next month
Interest is nearly as much as your monthly rate divided by 30 multiply by days left in current month if that makes sense.
  • Hello. Can anyone tell me how long after completion was your first mortgage payment with Kent? Thanks a
  • Hi all, my application went in on the 22nd September and I still haven't been credit checked! A valuation has been done but that's all. Has anyone else had as long a wait? I'm starting to get very stressed and my vendor is getting twitchy.
    Total debt at LB Moment (Nov 2007) = £6583 £4649 20.03.09
    £5060 Black horse Loan - £4114 as of 20.03.09
    £940 o/d with hsbc - -£535 as of 20.03.09
  • Did Kent do a credit check on anyone after exchange?

We currently have a mortgage with Kent Reliance and are borrowing more money with them, or at least trying to 😬. Soft credit search on 14th October, mortgage illustration confirming they would lend us the money but we needed to provide one months wage slip and bank
statements plus redemption figures for the debts we wanted to clear. Submitted this and paid for the valuation on 19th October, hard search and valuation instructed on 26th Oct, valuation carried out on 27th Oct have heard nothing since, mortgage broker contacted Kent Reliance today and they said they have 25 working day delay so my application wouldn’t be reviewed until end of November it looks like!!!

Yes, I've found their online system very limited in what one can do.  For example my bond was supposed to mature in a few days time yet they hadn't sent me any secure messages , emails or letters regarding the options.  I sent a secure message a few days ago to remind them and have just received their letter today.  The interest rates are not the best so I've decided to close the account and have all the matured balance (including interest) transferred to my nominated account.  The problem is that their online system doesn't show my nominated account details in my 'Profile' as they don't link it to the account (so I cannot check whether the details they are holding are correct or not). I am therefore assuming they have my nominated account details held somewhere else.

To ensure they do send to my nominated account , I tried to send them a secure message giving them the last 4  digits of my nominated account number , but while doing so , the online account timed me out (without warning).  I therefore had to login  again and start all over again which makes me think their online platform is not very good (well not as good as some other online bank systems).

I've had an account with them for many years and they don't seem to offer any loyalty rates like some other banks I have dealt with. Anyhow , I need the money now to reinvest in a cash ISA for this year and I'm sure I can get a better deal elsewhere.
