The good wishes for my DH and hugs for me were much appreciated, thank you. He does look a bit like a large minion (not the one-eyed one!)
DH's chest infection seems to have cleared up - though he still hasn't had the second blood test to confirm - but yesterday evening I remarked that his left leg was swollen. This morning he rang me to say that it had swollen even more overnight and the ward doctor was concerned he might have a DVT. By the time I got there at 5.30 he had had a scan, and there was no sign of a DVT, but his leg is still very bad and (I think) weeping, so more investigations are needed and he still isn't fit enough to come home.
One small ray of sunshine: the car park pay machine regurgitated my ticket every time I tried to insert it, so I pressed the Help button and got out of jail free
I watered the pots and walked Rosie before breakfast, while it was still relatively cool.
For elevenses I went to a flower festival at a beautiful little 12th century church, a 15 minute drive from here, where one of my friends is curate, so we enjoyed a good chat and some delicious cake.
Now it's a waiting game to see what tomorrow brings...8 -
Iona.. I do hope DH is soon better and home.. and that was a stroke of good luck on the ticket!
Bed up in Moomins room, lights restuck to the ceiling and some of the stuff put away. I have done about 6 loads of washing from in there and they have flung it all n the floor.. I am raging.. they will face the wrath upon their return tomorrow I think.

He unpegs my washing! I'm not sure if he does it on purpose or knocks the pegs off zipping about.

Hi all
It was cool here first thing so all downstairs windows have been cleaned inside and out, and the kitchen floor and DS loo have been scrubbed. Various things have been rehomed and doggie blankets washed and out on the line. I had a plan to sit outside with my book but it's baking hot out there now so I have come inside for a cool down.
Not sure what to do with myself now. DH is snoozing, I might put the kettle on for a brew.8
