DH is still in horse piddle. Now he has a mild chest infection. Hopefully he will be well enough to come home tomorrow.
Moving furniture round this afternoon exhausted me and I am about to fall into bed. I didn't even have the energy to take Rosie for a walk this evening. I did all the housework today, so just WMx? tomorrow. At least I can see out, now that the window cleaner has been and removed umpteen layers of dust on the outside. The insides need doing when I can bear to think about it (or ask K for help).8 -

Morning all,
Iona, I hope DH comes home today, but he probably is in the best place if he has a chest infection.
Valli, gentle hugs, take it easy.
Pigpen, your timetable exhausts me! I hope Pixie’s friend gets moved back to be with her.
Another busy week at work, at risk of sounding like a broken record. Of course, working in the agriculture business, everything has now gone mad, with the weather being what it is. Still it’s the weekend, and my latest discovery is that the smart meter moves quite a bit when I vacuum, so I’m cutting back in the name of energy conservation 🤣.DD came home from her girlie holiday this week for a brief respite (aka clean clothes, own bed and raiding the fridge, and of course the inevitable hospital appointment) until she goes off to her next festival (thankfully not this weekend in the heat). The wm is now churning her washing around. DH is off out for the day with SiL - rather them than me, as it is quite a drive plus lunch in a hot pub. DD has reserved me for shopping, which actually means she just wants me there for my bank balance. She has to take herself to the opticians first though, in the opposite direction.
I might flutter for the hour that she is out, but that will be it. Twot, to quote Round.First cuppa had, breakfast done, might have another cuppa as DH is hogging the shower.
Have a good day all, keep cool, drink lots x9 -
Fayolle.. I now have to retidy Moomins room so we can get in there to build the bed! I am NOT impressed and she will be told so. She has gone to a festival this weekend so I got a message at 6am saying she forgot to pick up her money so can I loan her £160 and she will give me it back when she gets home!!Pixie is all pink and puffy this morning
She is heading off to her music concert at 9:30 so will see her friend there.
Bed made, child brushed.. head and legs hurting.. I may need to drug those shortly..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Wm x 2. HHI whilst the kitchen was in the shade - twot had been my excuse all week, but I have left DH’s shirts as I am on strike with those. Bathrooms cleaned (ditto, in shade). Poorly looking spider plant repotted and read the riot act - it was fine last week, so I guess it didn't like where it was in the heat. 1st load of washing brought back in before it over dried.
Time to regroup before DD returns. Thank goodness she seems to have sorted out the opticians, so just one more trip now to pick up the long needed lenses.8 -

Afternoon everyone xx
Hope you are all well, not twot, and well hydrated.
I was up, dressed and nipped into town first thing to drop off a box of books and a bag of books at cs. Fer-ling. I also attempted to drop off some ood meds for disposal at the pharmacy but it was closed!! According to their website they open at 7am every day except Sunday. So why were they closed at 9.15am???? It is Saturday isn't it? Plan B it is then - I'll drop off the ood meds when I pick up my repeat prescription. Which was Plan A but I decided that as I was passing the pharmacy anyway I'd.....never mind.
I've had a coffee with Pops. Who is planning to win the lottery and visit the Taj Mahal. That's a new one: usually it's Jersey, or Malta, or Jordan.
First load is pegged out; second load is swishing; pots are WULTD including a plastic box and lid which are going to L's sister's thrift shop.
I've fed the birds, put out the recycling and my bed is made.
I'm going to watch the athletics and flutter during the talky bits.
Stay cool.
Hope Mriona is on the mend.

Pixie saw her bestie today and was so happy. Her puffiness is going down. She did fab at her concert.. I spent a while chatting to friends mum.. she is getting panicky about secondary school (year 5 child) I encouraged her to have a loo at Squeaks school as it has been so supportive but also are not up themselves over uniform..
off to dangle some washing and clear Moomins pit.. I am so mad she has made it such a mess in 24 hours!

Out cycling this morning, it was actually quite cool. Then home to sort out some of the gibble DS2 left here after going back to the big city. Well when I say sort I mean shove it under his bed/into his wardrobe. He can sort it himself at some point.
Various bits of other gibble rehomed. More laundry done. Bit of hoovering. Car just washed. Which doesnt sound like a lot but has taken me all afternoon.
£465 car bill to pay and I am £200 short for DHs tax bill. Think I might be dipping into the emergency fund.9
