am I right in thinking that if Investec were going to announce a raise in their rate, it would have been today?flobbalobbalob said:
I was a fan of Investec for that reason but they have now recently lagged behind. Best to invest and put notice of withdrawal in at the same time to cover yourself.Zaul22 said:The main good thing about RCI is no issue numbers. One account with one rate so you won't get left behind like Cynergy or Oxbury.
if so, that will have been two months since the last increase... even if they react after a base rate rise next week, it'll still be lagging behind the others.
I think it might be time to move on - I just got to decide whether to leave a nominal amount in the account earning 0%, or close it completely... will decide tomorrow.0 -
Yes the 15th but only 1 month since the last increase

thanks - I stand corrected... in my head, I was sure it was increased to 5% the month before.ColdIron said:Yes the 15th but only 1 month since the last increase

Investec are unlikely to react to a new base rate. Historically they only change the rates on the 15'th for their notice account (1'st for instant access). So they could be way behind by the next 15'th.janusdesign said:

Apart from it being a branch offering why would anyone take out a Harpenden 45 day notice account at 4.4% when their instant access is 4.95%.

I did wonder the same thing myself, but included it for completeness... btw, you can open and fund the 45-day account online, it's not branch-only... whereas the EA account is online only.FishInGlass said:Apart from it being a branch offering why would anyone take out a Harpenden 45 day notice account at 4.4% when their instant access is 4.95%.0 -
I just noticed West Brom says you can only have one withdrawal notice at a time. That's not normal is it? No other accounts work like that?0

Re Kent Reliance 90 day Notice Account. Does anyone know if, once a withdrawal has been requested, it can be cancelled/changed?(I've currently got an OakNorth 90-day where I have been regularly rolling over the notice but they're slipping behind now at 4.7%).0
