  • Cynergy Notice Account rates up a little (07/09/23) .... even better for me after sorting out the "adding money" fiasco!

Do you get the benefit of the higher rares on this new issue?

I had thought that Cynery won't let you transfer on notice accounts?

As an aside....their latest easy access account pays 5.00%. So the 35 day notice account would seem to be redundant.

Yeh Cynergy are normally useless because of issue numbers, although once rates have peaked they will actually become good.

Sorry, should have said that the rates I posted were for the new Issue 8 Notice Accounts .... BUT .... I did check and they have uprated my Issue 4 95 Day from 5.40% to 5.50% without me needing to do anything!

5.5% is great - they only offer interest yearly rather than monthly which I prefer. But closing the account would include any interest up to the point of closure anyway.
  • RCi Bank have increased the rate on their 95-Day notice account from 5.30% to 5.60% effective today (13th September) - existing accounts have been updated to the new rate.

it's monthly or annual, with interest paid either into the account or to a nominated account - both the interest option and where it is paid, can be changed online from their website (but not from their app)...

The main good thing about RCI is no issue numbers. One account with one rate so you won't get left behind like Cynergy or Oxbury.

I was a fan of Investec for that reason but they have now recently lagged behind. Best to invest and put notice of withdrawal in at the same time to cover yourself.
