RCI cutting my rate to 4.20% from 16 December. No surprise there since they'd already cut the rate to that for new customers. Oddly it says my "current rate" is 4.50% when it's actually 4.70% and I was never informed of a cut to 4.50%.

I've got 3 other 90/95 day accounts (Investec, DF Capital and Vanquis) and it looks like RCI may still be the top of that list at the end of the year. Anyway it's a guaranteed 4.7% for the next 3.5 months.
Same here. Says mine is reducing to 4.2 from 4.41 but have never been advised of a drop to 4.41

    Weird.

I guess if all of us are on 4.7 and have had no notification of a drop to prior to today we have a strong case for staying on 4.7 for the next 109 days.

Even stranger my Mum has just been emailed and she is currently on 4.7 but her rate is dropping from 4.12 to 4.05

    all a bit nuts.

Some of these oddities are explainable as being monthly rates: 4.70% AER = 4.60% gross monthly. 4.50% AER = 4.41% gross monthly. 4.20% AER = 4.12% gross monthly.

Agreed but not the interim rates no-one seems to have been notified about or the difference between mine and my Mums

The 4.50/4.41% rate was only offered to new customers briefly from 12 August, so they wouldn't have notified any existing customers before that date. 109 days from then takes us to 29 November, so I shan't be losing any sleep over the issue, either way.

Personally I'll be giving notice in 2 weeks time and I can then decide what to do with the money in mid-December.

I am in the same position, just spent 10 mins thinking I had missed the earlier notification, still a little time for thinking to put a withdrawal request in before the notice period ends.
