Hi
After reading this thread I rang Aol - am on £14.99 a month with wireless router and have had no problems so quite happy to stay with AOL - saves changing email address with everybody! My contract is due to expire this month and after asking AOL when it was due to expire they offered me a new router and 8meg broadband for £14.99, I declined as I know my line is only capable of 1.5 meg so she offered me £9.99 for life rate so I accepted that - am happy saving £5 a month and no hassle of changing email addresses.
Thanks VinylMusic.0 -
just renewed on an 18 mth contract.
was on 9.99 a month anyway, so this time got a free router plus 2 months free. Took a bit of haggling but they were polite enough and in the end accommodating.

considering dynamicdawg already had 2 i'd have thought it was hard to work out:D
but my point was to anything in general......
Nope, makes no sense at all.
Why refuse to accept something sent to you for free? If you don't want it, sell it.0 -
I'm not to sure I'd want to commit to an 18 month contract with AOL at the moment, ever since they changed me over to the CPW/Opal servers I've had nothing but trouble, slow speeds, connection drop outs etc
Same here mate, and blocking of websites too i.e. www.bethere.co.uk for one.
The AOL service (inder the Opal servers) is dire now, I can't wait to leave and join Be. Currently tied until December but I am sure I can get out of it quite easily
Old AOL servers, no problem at all, but the CW servers-everyone heed the warning0
