ParkingEye CCJ Letter!

Depends if you want a new phone contract, or house rental or purchase, or bank account or any form of credit in the 6 years.
I wan't telling you off - that wasn't why I asked.
I was checking we understood what happened. We deal with hundreds of cases per week and can't recall all the details each time we hop back to reply and run.
If the claim had gone to a wrong address you'd have grounds to set aside but not if you ignored it and didn't open the judgment letter till it was too late.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So if I pay it does it soften the blow somewhat? In terms of getting a phone contract?0

A satisfied CCJ looks better than an unsatisfied one but how it would actually affect a phone contract would depend on the provider. You could always wait and see and pay it one day if you need to.

I've just paid it0

Ok. It will show as a satisfied CCJ so hopefully won't affect you.
If you get a PCN again come here first as you could have paid nothing and got rid of it with one email, in many cases.
Don't just pay them. But don't ignore them. Complaining straight away to the landowner or retailer would probably have seen it cancelled at the time.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, I'm now 18 months into my ccj and it's costing me dearly with regards to car insurance quotes going through the roof! Is there any point trying to get the ccj removed by using one of those companies that specialise in this for £300? Thanks for any advice.0

Read the Trust Pilot reports on some of these companies. Also google any of them who are are on Companies HouseYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.1

No because we specialise in it free of charge and I think that would be money down the drain because yours is a satisfied CCJ.eits1000 said:Hi, I'm now 18 months into my ccj and it's costing me dearly with regards to car insurance quotes going through the roof! There's no leverage now. The third party company can't get the Claimant to agree to anything because you paid it without asking for 'consent to set aside' at the time.
You could have used your payment as leverage and got both. Sadly, we did tell you this in July 2022 and we told you NOT to pay it. You could have got ParkingEye to consent.
Trouble is, I'm not seeing that you have any reasonably arguable grounds to set it aside now, as you knew about it in 2022 and paid it, and didn't apply promptly then to set it aside.
The system is terrible. Parking charges should never affect people like this, and setting aside a parking CCJ should be easy and cheap (automatic). It isn't.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Looks like I got very confused about what you told me not to do and to do. So I paid it. I was thinking maybe those companies could say I never got the letters and paid it anyway, then I found out randomly That I had a ccj. Maybe we can argue I didn't even know about it as the letters never reached me?Coupon-mad said:
