It wasn't losing a NSD apple, it was not buying toiletries until you've used what you have. I had used lots of odds and ends over the past couple of months and did think I should still have some, but when I couldn't find any I gave in and bought a multi pack (last one on the shelf and a 1/3 off). Once I'd moved some of their things I could see sun cream tucked in odd corners, I've added 2 factor 50 ones in the food bank box - it might just save a small child's life this week.apple_muncher said:Mothernerd, suncreams counts as medicinal in this weather 😎9

Caravan day 1We all had a lie-in, got up, got breakfast, and lazed about some more. Eventually we got dressed, got sun cream on, and went to a beach. It’s a secluded beach but there were a few people on it today - kayaking and splashing about. The three of us walked along the shoreline, DS and I collected more pretty shells for my glass vase at home, and we tried trapping each other in the sand by burying each other’s feet… none of us succeeded because we’re all back at the caravan.Spent £4 on gaining entry to the beach via private property and parking on the property, and £50 on car fuel (hoping it’ll see us through the week. Our weekly shop for the caravan cost £65. As always I’ll be aiming to stay within budget.Grateful today for sun, sand, and shells making Scotland feel like Lanzarote!NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸11

Today I am grateful for a lazy day, for getting a sofa and a cooker out to the front of the house for the council to collect tomorrow (anytime from 5am, apparently...) and having what feels like oodles more space inside, for fresh water, for the Tour (I'm still catching up, so about 7 days behind at the mo), for my sister.

            Evening turtles
How lovely to meet your DGD grandmanerd
Today i've done a little bit more decluttering in the garage but still can't access my bike. DD1 came round and helped me carry upstairs an old wooden blanket box that I've put in DD2's room for jumper storage. I've done a bit of work, watched 2 decluttering programmes on TV (!) and had a walk at 9pm - still far too hot for me. I'm pale and freckly but can't pass for a redhead so won't get free cinema tickets unfortunately

It's hot here already. We walked four miles yesterday but I doubt we'll manage that today. I'm staying out of the sun. Deni, maybe you could get into the cinema if you wore a "see you, Jimmy" hat.
I bought a couple of very pretty plants yesterday to replace some of the ones that have "gone". Must go and give my plants a good drink before it gets too hot.
Have a lovely day, everyone, and stay safe in the sun.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7

            Morning turtles
Didnt have chance to post yesterday so here’s yesterdays update and I’ll pop back later to update todays!
 - Yesterday I bought a round of ice creams & a round of drinks. DH has definitely took the brunt of the spending!
 - Nothing wasted
 - Not an alcohol free day so still 6/31.
 - Playing cricket on the beach as the sunset made me smile yesterday
 - Budget spent £59.55 out of my £60 budget. Could have spent more but didn’t have it! When I’m debt free it will be nice to splurge abit more DS having his own money really helped.
 - Used up toilettes left in the caravan in the welcome pack.
Not an NSD yesterday so still 7/16
Going home today so nothing decluttered until tomorrow so still 19/31

Caravan day 2Up and off with DS to the forest this morning for shade! Still bathed him in factor 50 though. I’ve sounded like a broken record all day with ‘take a drink, take a drink, take a drink’. Something akin to Mrs Doyle from Father Ted or Chewin’ the Fat if that’s familiar.Took a packed lunch to the forest - boiled eggs, cheese, and crisps. The only spend today has been £3 for parking.Returned to the caravan, had a rest, ate ice cream, then OH set up swing ball. OH and I got competitive and tried to knock each other’s heads off. DS cried after not winning… we like to let him lose sometimes to prepare him for life. 🤣Tonight’s dinner is a batch-cooked bolognese from home and a glass of red. I’ve gone over my calories for the last 3 days but it’s only been by a small amount.Grateful today for the invention of sun cream, for free water, and discovering ice lolly moulds in the caravan cupboards - they’ve now been filled with orange juice!NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸5

Today I am grateful for being offered some extra work, for the paddling pool, for dc having fun round at a friend's house, for finding fuel 9p cheaper than elsewhere, for a lazy day at home.

Did the volunteery thing twice, it was far too hot, but necessary, so I did it.Did some shopping, the empty shelving of certain products is really annoying me now. Supply chain issues they say.Scored a magic box at Herr L - the fridge is full. The fruit bowl is full, then made cheese toasties for supper as it is too hot to cook.In-laws arrive tomorrow and the house is still not tidy. I cleaned for a couple of hours today, then put all the kerbside recycling out and also have a pile of stuff for the recycling centre to go tomorrow morning. The house is still a tip.Going to concentrate on the kitchen floor and cooker tomorrow. Then bake two g/f d/f cake mixes. Then hoover the house. Speed clean the bathrooms I did at the weekend again. Move s/g's boxes out of the way.Child benefit went in this morning, I had less than £50left in the bank to do the rest of the month, so I am glad I have that now. Might get paid this month, might not, I will channel my inner Doris and wait and see.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!
