Monday - NSD 2Forgot to post yesterday so…Stood on the scales this morning. I’ve put on 9lbs in a short time! Not good for me as a wee 5ft woman and not good for my clothes which have felt a little snug lately. I’m back on the healthier eating as of now! No more extra bowls of cereal as a bedtime snack! Walking daily is a must! Goal is to lose 1lb a week.I’ve downloaded the same calorie counting app as Mum who is trying her best to be healthier too. She says she’s going to live to 101!I walked for a solid 25 minutes while listening to a podcast.
Made a healthy stir fry for dinner for OH and I. He desperately needs to loose weight but it’s a very touchy subject. I’ll need to approach it though - I’m really worried about his health. Will try to do the same healthy routine today - eat well and walk along to a podcast.

It was so hot and muggy yesterday so I pottered around the house and tidied up all my outdoor plants. I need to get some more to replace the ones that have gone. I think Lidl have some at a reasonable price on Sunday. Our Aldi certainly don't have any at the moment.
I got all the Boy's washing done and dried outside so I'll iron what needs ironed today.
Good luck with the healthy eating, Idee. As a wee 5ft woman myself I can understand how you feel but keep on going.
So it's a bit cooler today so we're off for a little bit of a walk

Today I am grateful for a fab adventure on Sark, for some cloud to make the heat a tad more bearable, for a nap on the boat back, for a scrummy caramelized onion relishy thingy, for the pool for a dip to cool off.

Evening everyone, here’s my update for today.
- had a budget of £30 for a family day out and spent £29! Nearly had an unintended spend as almost went out for tea to use the meerkat code for 2 for 1 meals but it wasn’t in the budget so I said no!! 😇
- Nothing wasted today and used up last nights leftovers for tea. Used my car for today and needed fuel. Worked out £15 lasts for 70ish miles. I have had 2 showers today so that might be counted as a waste of water and toiletries but needed to cool down before bed.
- Such a lovely day off. A lazy morning then to crazy golf and arcades. Taught ds that playing pool in the arcade (£1.50) is good value than the other games. Not entirely a healthy day and did have 2 shandies. I make them
weak so only 1 small can of lager is used for 2! Still only 4/31 alcohol free days so far.- Having a day off/family day made me smile today even if the weather changed our plans last minute.
- My budget is a bit off. I’m going to be £17.11 short as things stand. I’m hoping to use some petrol money to cover most of this. Next month I need to put £20ish as a buffer for mis-estimated things.
- Tried to search for a discount code for crazy golf none available but ds won us a free round by getting a hole in one at the end.
- Not kicking my debt at all. Felt quite sad that all of my ‘fun’ money is dwindling away and going to fuel/gas/supermarkets. In fact, I may have to stop over paying my cc debt to cover living costs.
- Every penny was not analysed today although I did walk around the arcades looking at what I’d like a go on before aimlessly feeding my coins in.
- Not an NSD so still 5/16
- Decluttered some old drinks bottles & Tupperware so on 12/31 itemsLightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £175/£260. PAD member.7 -
Evening turtles
Achieved an NSD and didn't use my car either. Had a productive day WfH and did some of my PT jobs this eve. Parents still here, sat in the garden with them this eve. Stepmum has pulled up quite a few weeds in the garden
Looked through my wardrobe earlier - quite a few unworn clothes, some I've forgotten about, some are a bit tight. Got HM cake and biscuits and crisps in for parents but need to eat better when they've gone back.
Gratitudes - boss letting me take Thursday PM off to spend w parents; managing a difficult task for PT job; keeping on top of all my jobs

Had a lie in today, had woken up but then nodded off to the sound of DH dispensing his many tablets into his daily boxes 😂
We went for a very windy walk after breakfast, went separate ways halfway along as I had letters to post & no postbox the way DH wanted to go. Spent the rest of the day sewing, but only one thing left to do in a big bag of things 😃
Took DS1 to collect his car before tea. We had a falling out after tea, but all sorted now, I think! I went in my bedroom out of the way for a while & did some filing. Crammed a few chocolates in my mouth too, that I'd received from a colleague at the end of term.
Thank you, thank you @beanielou for my happy mail, it was a lovely surprise 😘
Grateful for happy mail, nearly 2 big bags of sewing done & being dropped off in town tomorrow, seeing photos & videos of my nephew's graduation from nurseryUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

It was still very warm yesterday but we did manage a short walk. Managed to blag a big container of strawberries and a big container of blueberries at a good reduced price. They are still really firm and will last for days yet. Breakfast sorted for the foreseeable future.
Nothing much happening here at the moment. I feel as if everything is getting a bit boring. I think I need a nice holiday by the sea but that's not happening until September.
Sun is out already so I'm off to see the Boy (ie tidy his flat!) in a bit.

@wishus I listen to podcasts mostly about wellbeing and true crime. I sometimes listen to money podcasts if the title sounds interesting / relevant.Tuesday updateYesterday a magic thing happened - I had a surge of energy. I really don’t know what did it but I was still up at 9.30pm vacuuming and cleaning. My day yesterday consisted of eating really healthily like the day before (no bread which i’m thinking makes me sluggish), I went for a walk 3 times throughout the day (each walk was about 20 minutes long), and I had a black coffee around 2pm. I felt so good - I wish I could feel like that every day. This morning I feel exhausted after a night of OH snoring. Was woken by it around 2am, lay for a while, eventually went downstairs and did a jigsaw puzzle. Put my ear to the door to hear OH still giving it ‘laldy’ and decided to sleep in DS’s bed (he’s staying with grandparents).Let’s see if my healthy eating and walking gives me a boost today… I really hope it’s these two things and not the coffee that gave me the surge!NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸5

Well done, Idee I've definitely found that healthy eating and walking has given me a much needed boost. Although at 9.30pm I'm in bed with a book!Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4
