  • Different people seem to be having very different experiences with Kroo. Mine hasn't been a horror show. I'm using the account without (major) issue. It's quirky and not perfect for sure. The experience of others though makes me a bit uneasy so I'm not 'All In' with this bank.

Aside from the issues with delays in transfers in/out, when it comes to day to day spending I've had no issues with Kroo so far and I've been using them as my main account since November.

  • No issues with Kroo for me.  Easy to open and quick.  Did a couple of small transfers to check which were fine.  Now holding £25K to make 3% easy access interest.

  • Didn’t open my account immediately had to submit by email bank statement proof of address. Took a few more days but they did email me to apologise for delay. HSBC does not like them wanting to ping a deposit from my current account they keep blocking even though Kroo is now a payee on my current account. Where does it show the interest on the app?

  • It doesn'tt see to show the interest in the app. It's on a statement which you seem to be able to generate whenever you like. I also saw it in the faqs.
  • I am still waiting for my account to be opened - applied 12 days ago so I think I will stick to Chase and Chip !
Same here. Two weeks now and counting. Not sure I’ll be trusting them with any money!

Same position and does not inspire any confidence.

I opened an account with Kroo to get the £20 from TCB. One of the stipulations was to deposit £50, which I have done.

The T&C's don't say the money has to stay there. Does anyone know different? Otherwise I want to transfer it back out.
  • It’s now been 15 days since I started a chat with Kroo in app. No response despite follow up messages. Tried another chat and also no response. Tried emailing and no response after 2 full days.

    Absolutely disgusting service.

Bizarre. I opened an account on Tuesday, did the photo ID and had it verified within an hour. I wonder if they're back to clearing 'live' applications straight away and have parked the backlog.

    Not good, though.
