How do I write a letter on Laptop Microsoft

Hi.
As far as I know, Wordpad is still found on Windows 11. It's a scaled-down version of a word processor, but has all needed to produce a basic letter.
If Wordpad isn't there for whatever reason, a simple word processor you can download is Abiword or LibreOffice Writer (which is part of LibreOffice, a free office suite somewhat like Microsoft Office). I've used both and they've done well for me.
If you have a email account with Outlook or Gmail, you could also use their Online Word, or Google Docs, which also have free word processors to use, plus a bit of cloud storage if you want some extra backup options.1 -
Thank you I have managed to get both Wordpad and Office free also ! Sue0
