Time to start looking for insurance quotes and I'm seeing a big reduction on last year, when we all noticed a large increase. Wondering if others are now seeing the same.

Very rough numbers, but we went from ~£800 to ~£1,200, and quotes are now around £750. [Total for 2 BEV's.]
For some reason ours is up again this year despite no claims or change in circumstances 😕
Our renewal went up, about 25%, but general quotes are back down to roughly where they were before the rise. All a bit weird.

Just wondering if it's everyone (so to speak), as the big increases made the news, but haven't heard about the reverse/reversal.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Mine was £800 last year and £1,200 this (renewed in July). Nothing cheaper on the comparison websites either (except Admiral which doesn't count).

Why do you say Admiral doesn't count ?

OH was with them last year when they offered best price by far with no NCD.  For this year,  in spite of now having one year's NCD they wanted an extra £70.  Renewed instead with another company for £80 less than Admiral price.

The only company that my current insurer won't price match against is Admiral.  I think it's because they are not good with claims so don't consider them a fair comparison.

Maybe just us then, but seems odd. As per the discussions on here a year or so back with policies increasing upto 100%, ours followed suit and jumped 50% despite shopping around.

This year, we found loads of quotes pretty much back at the start again. Have now completed, with a grand total of £780 for the Tesla Y and Nissan Leaf.

Not complaining, just wondering why this didn't make just as much news/noise, but clearly not universal then this time.

Porsche shows off Cayenne EV 11kW induction charging at IAA | Electrek

I wonder if induction charging might be part of the missing link for EVs for those with no off street parking?
    I think....

Not at 7,000 euros! Plus the costs/issues if it was to be installed on the road.
I suspect that the majority of Porsche Cayenne owners will have off street parking.
If induction charging became more widely available, then having charge pads installed on roads where people park might make more sense than the option of hidden cables.

I kind of expect if Porsche charge 7k for a new product there would soon be a Chinese version costing about 500-1000!
