Those seem really cheap. I've been given a fix of 41.98p for standing charge and for 41.7p unit charge... which is 48% higher than the variable rate.

And for gas they are offering something that is 60% above the variable rate. So I'll just go on Flexible Octopus... and then in October I suppose I'll have to prostitute myself to pay the bills.
Why wouldn't you go Agile for electricity with 21p per day standing charge and capped electricity rate of 35p, then for gas the tracker v3 which is capped at 11p.

You do need a smart meter for Agile though to move to it,.tracker they can book you on it and arrange a smart meter install.

Just looked at my online Octopus Loyalty offer, Gas 17p/unit (up from 7p) 142% increase and Electricity 58p/unit (up from 29p) 100% increase.

I think they should rename it !!

If you'd rather have their standard 12-month fixed tariff - gas 18p/kWh, electricity 61p/kWh - I'm sure they'd let you.

I am certain those with least money would rather have this electricity 12 month fixed peak rate. - Tariff that you are on .....

There are lots of fixed tariffs that were on offer last year that, in hindsight, look attractive now but (unless you've got a plutonium-powered Delorean) I'm not sure that really helps anyone in this thread.

Peak rates shown in screenshot I referred to within post that you quoted  are currently available albeit sadly only to better off customers who have EV,
  • This whole energy situation is a nightmare.  Although I'm really grateful for the Government help, I dread what's going to happen after October and through the winter.

I'm not aware of any minimum household income requirements for the tariff you've posted. Do you have a link?
