Where do you find that the 35p cap is fixed for 12 months?

They are giving a price guarantee of not more than 35p, but I cannot find anything that they cannot change this?
Octopus state within screenshot "which ensure you will never pay more than 35p/kWh for your electricity guaranteed"

Yes, I have seen the guarantee, just where does it say it is a  fix for 12 months?

For me that means they guarantee it until they set a new amount.

Key word/phrase "You will never pay more than 35p kWh for your electricity"

Also a screenshot was posted of a reply someone had from Octopus answering that point  on page 3 of this thread

Interesting, so it is a fix for the next 100 years if you never will pay more than 35p

Great for everybody is on it if it is a 12 months fix, or even forever, but I would not base it on the answer of one support agent.

I moved onto Tracker v3 recently. In the "my account" section it says Fixed Term ends 17/06/2023.

Does the same thing happen when you move onto Agile, so the "guarantee" only lasts a year?

That is answer that I can live with, even so it is strange they have it nowhere in tariff information.

Also does it mean that every user has different end date for the tariff? I know that is the case for their Go tariff.

Yes, Tracker is a fixed-term tariff with an end date 12 months from start of supply.

So what does it say for those on v1 who have been on it for more than a year?

  • Switched to the Loyalty 12mnth tariff today for Gas only. We don't use any gas in summer, and I figure the Gas fix is not going to be around for long now that the 51% increase has been announced. It means that if they change to 3 monthly cap setting, we should at least see out the winter.
