Sister visiting yesterday so haircuts scheduled, I paid last time, so she paid this, called at M0rr1es as she needed bits for her "class" on the weekend, I got a y.s. pork shoulder for £1.12, and a y.s ox cheek 65p, fish fingers as I do enjoy a fish finger sandwich and my t.v. mag.
Today friend to dentist and we went B$M, £17.37 there, tub of chicken manure, read the price tag wrong £5 off, which I read as £5 price, still a decent buy, 2 plants from the dead and dying section, and some dog treats.Do I need it or just want it.7 -

I decided to make some chocolate banana muffins and a cinnamon swirl banana bread as we still had about 15 bananas left from our olio collection last week. Annoyingly I sorted out the pantry a few weeks ago and got rid of a lot of out of date baking supplies, so needed to stock up on those. Pleased that the bananas will not be going to waste. I'll be freezing most of the muffins and the banana bread for future breakfasts and snacks. Hopefully stocking up means I can do a bit more baking as well, as it was something I used to really enjoy before my MH got in the way.

Hi folks, especially @elsiepac and all the newcomers. Sorry to be starting a bit late this month Elsie but I'm actually on vacation / abroad and was focusing on relaxing instead of the GC.
We'll be participating for the whole month but we don't arrive back home until July 14th, fingers crossed our flights are okay.
@elsiepac could you please put us down for £250 for the month of July
This will include a lot of stocking up and groceries overall. I left the fridge totally bare and cleaned out on June 28th so we'll need to refill it. That's the emptiest it's been in a full year! I have a Tesco order / shopping cart I've been adding items to but I won't check out until closer to our home arrival date, to ensure I get the most realistic stock numbers and sales. That will likely cost about £110 but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
Have a good week all and I'll catch up bit by bit. I can't believe we're 17 pages in already!

Just having a bit of a catch up. I haven't spent anything since I went to the community pantry, I was ill a couple of days with a sickness bug, so that saved me some money
And I'm having veggies off the allotment, so some random meals being cooked but full of healthy green stuff!! But I have run out of yogurt and a few other bits so will probably go shopping on Monday - I can last till then!! I'm seeing how long I can go without going in a shop of any kind but I think Monday will definitely be the day!!

DH loves options hot chocolate at £4.00 a pop so when it came on offer at £2.00 a jar I bought 16 jars over. 4 weeks!!! Now he has stopped drinking it for the summer!!!! No more bulk buys for a while!! (unless I see a really good offer of course) 😂.@Soontobeoap I haven’t read the full thread yet so I haven’t seen if this has been suggested: for the hot chocolate mix, would you be interested in making chocolate ice popsicles from them? You make up the drink with milk then freeze it into molds with popsicle sticks. That way you’d still get a nice cool treat for your husband’s sweet tooth while using up your stores. You could mix in different flavours too like caramel, hazelnut, mint, etc for variety. Hope that’s useful for you or anyone else.8 -

Hello all,
back from a relatively large ALD! shop this morning, i went with a list and meal plan and we completely avoided the middle aisles. Stayed mostly on track with only a few non list items added (mostly by DH I hasten to add! Irritatingly must have mcvitties digestives so I said that’s your one branded item for this shop!!)
£62.19 spent which includes a couple of boxes of their plastic free wipes and a pack of 24 loo roll so we should be stocked up nicely for the rest of the month however now not sure my monthly budget was very realistic! We shall see how I get on
