Coupon-mad said:This guy who did a protest at McDonalds will get a PCN later this month for more than the £71 he complained about:"David Shepherd took his position on the counter of the Chestfield drive-thru last night and claimed he would not move until he got his full order.During the drive-thru sit in, Mr Shepherd sat for two and a half hours on the counter - vowing not to move until his order was fulfilled - and then moved his car into the drive-thru for a further hour, Kent Online reports."Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. With so many people floating around, use the potential to make profits. ANPR will kill itPay and display for customers using the pub in the car park attached to the pub?? just as bad as if a pub was to charge customers to use the toiletsI'd find another pub.As for the car park in generalThree Rivers District Council said it previously had an agreement with the chain to allow public access to the car park.
That sounds like there may be be some planning condition attached allowing the public to use the car park.

A woman says her Mother’s Day meal with her 87-year-old mum, who has Alzheimer’s, was ruined after receiving a “threatening” parking fine from KFC.
"Louise Zebua was eating at the branch in Westwood Retail Park, Broadstairs, on March 18 - the day before Mother's Day - with mum Doris. But after spending just over 90 minutes at the restaurant, she and Pam were shocked to receive a letter from Civil Enforcement slapping them with £100 fines. After discussing the matter with her sister, and reaching out to the chicken giant's head office to no avail, Louise decided to pay the fine rather than risk it escalating.
While the option to extend the parking available to you does exist, it is only available by explicitly asking for a parking permit in store – something Louise wasn’t aware of until after the incident.
And the 49-year-old has hit out at the fast food giant and parking company Civil Enforcement after feeling “intimidated" into paying the parking charge notice".

WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE SO EASILY INTIMIDATED THAT THEY PAY?
Come on, you don't just pay...this passenger and her carers are protected by the Equality Act 2010 and fixed time limits are illegal:

Update on the MS in Wales who is all over the "outrageous scam" that sees EURO CAR PARKS reportedly "ruining business" at a Wrexham retail park:
https://www.leaderlive.co.uk/news/23440068.ms-claims-island-green-parking-issues-surely-affected-business/
This MS is not letting it lie; she says:
"The difficulties have surely affected business, possibly impacting footfall and/or customer satisfaction. I have offered to make representations on their behalf and will continue to keep constituents updated."
Someone local should tell her to send her findings and dossier to Michael Gove, not to the BPA who she seems to wrongly believe are a regulator (far from it).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yet another victim of Civil Enforcement in Scotland completely forgets how to Google (which would have told them that they can still ignore private PCNs in 2023 in Scotland because they don't yet have "keeper liability"):

Instead of one of them just slowing down, stopping panicking and actually thinking to Google it (and finding a forum like MSE) they pointlessly 'appealed' to useless POPLA.
This means that they obviously lost, but even worse, they've blabbed about who was driving...
